Quoting: liamdawe
Quoting: HamishPeople should keep in mind that Runesoft are doing this to port more of their old catalogue to Linux, rather than just grabbing new tittles. Personally, I applaud them for it.
Not just that, they update their older titles to fix bugs like their other Linux ports on Desura.
It's 1997 game, it's 16 years old game, some of the readers weren't even in the project back then ;)
I'm not saying that all oldies are bad games, far from it - but why port an ancient title and try to sell it instead of porting newer titles.

Gnomoria! Sandbox village sim May see a Linux release!

From the looks of it, I can't say that Gnomoria's graphics is superior to Towns.
maybe the engine is (with the zoom capability) and the UI, but I like Towns game graphics - much more.
But I suppose that I'll buy Gnomoria sooner or later...

In many countries a dynamic IP is used (the IP in my house changes every time I reboot unless I actually buy and pay a monthly fee for a static IP).

Those bots/spammers are getting smarter ;)
Hope my posts helped a bit, I see you got some new hosts suggestions on reddit and you even tried one: http://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/17fij5/4_days_left_to_fund_gamingonlinux_hosting/ [External Link]
Hope your new host will be cheaper and better.

BTW yesterday I have received yet another offer from a casino site to post their banner for a year on LGN.
But I guess they didn't agree for my offer of a modest $100,000 a year ;) (I'm tired of declining their offers all the time).

Small interview with SCS Software, makers of Euro Truck Simulator 2!

Good interview, shame their game is pricey at the moment (even with 10% discount).

Eador: Masters of the Broken World confirmed for Linux
17 Jan 2013 at 6:23 am UTC

Good news indeed, last time I emailed them they said that there are thinking about it and there is a high chance, but it wasn'tr officially confirmed yet.
I can't wait for this game.

BTW, you can already play this first game in the series via Wine (it's a good game, but the graphics is very simple).

Submit your questions for Euro Truck Sim developers

As some alreqdy asked : Will you port your past or/and future games to Linux?
And:
2. Why ALL of the trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2 are "flat nose" trucks?
This makes them look similar to each other.
3. What improvments does Euro Truck Simulator 2 has compare to your other games and Euro Truck Simulator 1?

Oceania a new MMORPG based on Unigine
15 Jan 2013 at 1:59 pm UTC

I've been playing Regnum Online for several months, but I got bored ... same stupid fetch/kill quests, killing many of the same monsters to gain experience, same weapons that you can choose for each level, and only the PvP aspect is good ... but day way to it so so long (leveling up to lvl 40 take s a LOT of time without paying, only at later levels you can go to PvP).

On the other hand there is Heroes of Newerth which is very addictive and PvP only/mostly... but it's not MMORPG.

Oceania a new MMORPG based on Unigine

MMORPG's are usually boring, I'd much prefer a good RPG game instead.
Also I'm happy to see more games use the UNIGINE engine.
