DuncThe sole global arbiter of all things Build Engine gave it a thumbs up, so it must be pretty good.

Seriously though, it does look awesome. And since it's based on eDuke32, I'm not surprised there's a Linux version. My only niggle would be that the price is maybe a little steep for something based on 20-year-old tech (we're so used to getting new levels for old engines and remakes in newer engines for free these days), but you certainly seem to get a lot of game for your money.

Because it's old tech it was sometimes a nightmare. It takes quite a lot of effort to do certain things - it took us four years as a matter of fact. The campaign is fairly long (around 8-10 hours for a first play), and you'd probably triple your time if you're a secret hunter.

I don't take offense necessarily, just pointing out that old tech doesn't mean easy development.

MblackwellThe inaccuracies and bugs are things like freezing ai, disappearing geometry, crashes, floating decals, hitching, physics and sector movement bugs, and a whole host of other issues.
They are in original Blood too.

No they are not.

Outer Wilds becomes another Epic Store exclusive for a limited time

The PR speak is funny because as quickly as possible would be not single store exclusive.

JolltAlso if you have the original and some features like splitscreen and better multiplayer doesn't interests you, the https://github.com/nukeykt/NBlood based on Eduke32 is the BEST way to play besides this port. I would even say better than this port on some things people are noticing.
Out of interest, does NBlood support movies playback and other such stuff some ppl consider non-essential? Can it eg play CD-music off an original CD (or via some other means)? In other words is it a full-blooded port?))
And since we're here, what exactly is done better in NBlood according to some?

I don't believe movie playback is supported (you could hack them in in various ways but I'm not going to get into it). For the CD tracks you can rip them to FLAC or OGG at the very least.

Fresh Supply has a TON of inaccuracies and bugs.

Looks like Easy Anti-Cheat strikes again with Steam Play, Paladins is no longer playable on Linux

Guestvalve needs to fix this problem.make the games think it is running in windows or something because alot of games are broken because of this drm crap.i have to use windows due to games not working.when it gets fixed ill ditch it for good.
Valve does have a whitelist of games for SteamPlay. It is quite tiny compared to the actual games that do work with Proton.

I do not think Paladins was ever on that list.

Too bad Valve hasn't publicly released the whitelist. It would make it easy to point people to games that should work.

It's a bit odd, but you can look here for it though:
