Can you really blame developers for backing out of not releasing native linux versions given its less then %1 market share at the time?
These developers do not have unlimited money and time to spend so I give most a pass provided they don't put up deliberate anti-linux wall stoppers like custom version of AntiCheat that seem to specifically block linux support! or some other dotnet/similar windows library that is hostile towards linux (like devs using it for game launchers...terrible practice)

I've got a Loki Max pre-order set for Q4 so it will be interesting to see how that compares. Its basically a Switch but with a 6800U APU. Not sure if its meant to be faster, sounds like it with more CPU cores at least.
The company ships to Australia direct, so no issues. Valve force Aussies to go via 4th party methods which basically doubles the cost by the time it gets to house.
Only two things to be concerned about,
1-No back paddle buttons, (who uses these and for what? driving games?)
2-Not sure how well the OS will work, I'd prefer SteamOS over Windows in most cases.

Well NVIDIA might have some MUSCLE in forcing HDMI2.1 license changes, or they already did so and it just isn't public yet.
I've been real BUMMED out since I found out my 6800xt can't do RGB444 120hz with VRR (hdmi2.1 essentially) under Linux. Basically means I'll probably be skipping RDNA3 until this all gets resolved;
I don't just buy $2000+ every year like some people may if things don't work out.
This C1 is here to stay until death! So HDMI2.1 needs to work sadly, even if its not MESA/AMD's fault at end of day.

I kind of wish they just added in a separate copper PIN alignment on the bottom of the deck to support a drop in compatibility instead of using a cable.
It can be done btw without getting in the way of anything since its just extremely low profile copper contacts the dock could have pushup pins into.

I might need to switch to a NVIDIA card since I just found out my AMD card is not ALLOWED to do HDMI2.1.
I was running ycb420 this whole time thinking it was RGB, lmao.
The HDMI2.1 standard needs more open minded people running the show!

Pretty much ALL desktop environments work pretty good if you do very light desktop stuff and minimal gaming!

Quoting: 14Still, "trash" is pretty harsh for something that overall does work reliably in my experience.Maybe if you actually USED Wayland as for power desktop and gaming needs then you will think differently.

I get/got that issue with my 6800XT. If I let the screen suspend for too long often it won't wake up.
