Imagine a world if everything was just vulkan... it be amazing. I always cringe when a developer goes DX12 only,.

To date I haven't even tried VR, I want my first experience to be with nothing less then Pimax 5k+ level headset which is pretty good I hear (was a bit rough at start).
Unfortunately I will need to find a spare $2k under the lounge or something first.. could be a while...

SteamOS is alive with a new beta and updated drivers, also a new Steam Client Beta is out

I guess now that they see google doing something with linux, their thinking is maybe shouldn't drop the ball just yet...

I'm eagerly waiting for Microsoft Windows to become a subscription service, THAT will be the day Linux shines!
Also confusing that MS is killing off windows7 (probably 8/8.1 soon also) yet also releases dx12 for windows7 at same time... shrug

System Shock 3 may see Linux support, OtherSide still working on Underworld Ascendant for Linux

I hope they are able to resolve problems with UA, I hear it was a fairly big let down on release....

GameHub is another open source game launcher, giving Lutris some competition

Cant get humble bundle to work, it asks me to verify 10 million images to login, FCK THAT, I'm not sitting here all day to train your AI!

EDIT: Seems it might be just gamehub collecting the info so it can always login without needing to ask you to verify, since you did them all at once sort of thing.

Its surprising that AMD has as many people using their GPU's as they do. I guess places have seen significant price drops to the RX580 cards etc which helps allot.

Quoting: Duke TakeshiI find it weird antergos is counted separately. Imho, it's just a GUI installer for arch xD.
Try saying that on the Arch forums. :D

Yeah I did that once, got my head bitten off!

Deep Rock Galactic, a 1-4 player co-op FPS with a destructible environment works great in Steam Play
5 March 2019 at 3:40 am UTC

The game has had issues in past with 1fps to audio problems, fortunately most those issues have been fixed via proton beta, FAudio etc..

I think this is also one of the games that needs AMD spoofing or it tries to load those nvidia libraries that don't work under wine...

Wine 4.3 is out with the XAudio2 reimplementation 'FAudio' included

This probably resolves sound cut out issues games like Fallout4 had. I do remember running FAudio with Fallout76 and it was quite good, but its been a few months since I played that game, waiting for private servers and mod support.. .probably never happen.
