Advanced cross-platform benchmarking tool 'Basemark GPU' has a new build out
10 Mar 2020 at 6:21 am UTC

Initial results MAY show it heavily favors NVIDIA GPU's as AMD's cards ALL perform under 2060 levels. Nobody has done testing under windows yet to verify if its unique issue to Linux AMD drivers or not...

This benchmark appears to be tad biased and favors NVIDIA cards. So not surprising AMD does pretty bad with it.

Windows Results for Comparison.

NEXUS has been dominate for so long, its going to be hard for it to get traction. Unfortunately NEXUS doesn't recognize Linux hence all apps must be run via WINE with mixed results. I currently use Mod Organizer 2, which kinda works fine but has several quirks about it (With Wine: stability/font-theme/features may randomly break).

Quoting: KimyrielleThat's wishful thinking. People traditionally don't care about being oppressed as long as they have food on the table. And even if they don't have food, they stay calm as long as their government manages to lay the blame on someone else.
I don't think that is true at all given the history of empires. But I guess it all comes down to what color lenses you look at it from.

And to be very fair about the democracy argument, we have never seen it put into effect on planet Earth, LOADS of pseudo-democracy going on however! One just needs to look much closer at how elections are run and counted to know how true this is.

Sad truth is, our education systems have been butchered so much (people just not being educated due to financial situations or bad schooling) that the general public probably can't even make good decisions if voting systems were properly run like a democracy. Its a multi-lateral argument I can't go into here, would be a 400 page essay!

China is like a successful version of North Korea. However I don't think the Chinese people will stay obedient forever, cracks are forming as PRC's grip gets firmer.

I might be tempted to diddle around with this once the vulkan release comes out. I wonder if they intend to compete with Unity3d and Unreal3d engines at some point.

Think I've actually got a few developer resource libraries laying around, might be time to check them out.

Carmageddon did this sort of thing and that's quite a old game. It be nice if this game have a actually game attached to it and wasn't just a sandbox sim.

I'm guessing that HLAlyx will work fine via steamplay? is it a game that uses vulkan natively?
