I've just been using a ARCH installer called EndeavourOS, primarily use KDE atm. I did dabble with XFCE but had issues with some wine applications having poor font quality which doesn't happen under Plasma.

I have 32GB DDR4 as per my profile. Memory leaks are not just about a game gradually chewing up memory, that is bad sure but WHAT is chewing up memory is also important, because those things can also eat CPU and GPU processing cycles which slow down the overall experience. As is the case with this game!

First load time is fine, but if you sit there and continuously load the same save-game, watch as it slowly bogs down each load event to the point where its not enjoyable waiting for it anymore. Also causes odd stutter performance issues as time progresses (in a mission).
Pretty sure the memory leaks occur each time you enter a mission, as you go from mission to mission there is something stuck in memory that builds up over time. Believe it or not, this problem exists under windows also but its more obvious under Linux since its stuck on OpenGL for Linux (not very well optimized in certain maps like citys etc)

Not surprised, the whole system is rigged to throw numbers at windows stat data, not at all surprised linux slips past due to system-statistical errors.

I don't think Underworld Ascendant sold as well as they'd hoped, in saying that I did buy it but haven't played much, seems to work ok but feels rather small world corridor like so far.
REAL shame about SS3, the trailer looks pretty decent but if you haven't enough funding then I guess its time to shut up shop and move on in life. Don't do a Duke Nukem Forever!

YAY, but really I will be super excited if we ever see Battleye and EAC anti-cheat software support in steamplay, when/if that happens it will be awesome!
Steam has offline support baked into their client. The only real concern is the multiplayer network components, I don't know if steam would release a client side server app to host such a thing if that day ever came.
(like perhaps in the event of the apocalypse and humanity is nuked to dust, we would need client side server hosting :) )
