Too bad, I already own it and all the expansions and played them to death.
Too good, it's probably the best TW entry and I'll play it to death again.

Quoting: Aspyr_BlairSold.Quoting: rkfgUhh, what's up with that non-fully-crossplatform multiplayer? I understand if there are issues with deterministic RTS engines, math could be slightly different on each platform and in the end the butterfly effect causes heavy desyncs. But in a turn-based strategy?.. Weird. The Steam page doesn't have a "Crossplatfom multiplayer" badge, however, in the system requirements there's a footnote "Additional Notes: NOTICE: It is possible for Mac and PC to become out of sync during updates or patches. Within this short time period, Mac users will only be able to play other Mac users." So, the Mac users can play with the Windows users and Linux users can play only with Mac users. What would happen then if a Mac user hosts a game and then both Linux and Windows users connect? Something's wrong here.Apologies, our wording for the Blog post makes it sound like it will only be compatible with Mac. We fully intend to have cross-platform multiplayer between all platforms, but that didnt make it for launch.

Quoting: oldrocker99Here's hoping :S: . The CIV:Beyond Earth Aspyr Linux port has a large number of Linux users on their Steam forum who are unhappy...as far as a sale goes, when CIV V came out, the day of release they made it available for 16.99 with all of the DLC. That was a monster sale indeed.Everybody is sad about Beyond Earth, in every platform.
Realpolitiks, a grand strategy game from Jujubee will see day-1 Linux support

Quoting: Arehandoro"Based on three main political systems (democracy, authoritarianism, totalitarianism), Realpolitiks allows you..." No anarchism? Not real nor politics... but that's another topic, so to stick to the game purpose... I won't buy it.At first I thought that would be the same as "losing" the game since you lost any real power. Then I realized it could become some kind of Crusaders Kings-esque scenario in which you would be obligated to manage a bunch of autonomous soviets and convince them to follow a common agenda in order to make the game progress somewhere.
Exclusive: Civilization VI now fully confirmed to be coming for SteamOS & Linux and soon too
