I doubt x86 emulators are fast enough for any game that's not nethack.

Quoting: HoriI hope they will add Android support at some point :D I heard some people got it working by running a bare bones Linux distro virtually. There's no ARM build for Portal 2, or is there?
Unfortunately, I also heard it's not possible to do it without root access.
I they manage to do that, I may get a phone holder thing for my SC and then play Portal 2 when I'm on long trips.

I find them disappointing too. Max 8GB RAM, horrible 6bpc(yes, 6 bit per color) displays, always on fans, ...
I recently needed a new laptop but sadly none of the Ryzen ones were even remotely an option.

Quoting: drlambHmm?Quoting: minjThat's quite right and the whole line-up is disappointing.I don't know how you can say products that haven't even launched yet are disappointing, but to each their own. I have a preorder on the Swift 3 and am going to buy the Nitro V to try out. Trying to convince myself I don't need the Ryzen 7 + 580 laptop.

Is your HW too old? Are you trying use 3x4k displays?

Quoting: GuestMaybe while they're working on Linux drivers, they could add Surround support so that I can game on three monitors.I have 4 displays attached, no problems(I never use more than 3 simultaneously though). AFAIK since the GTX 6xx series 4 displays are supported.

Quoting: g000hHow am I trolling? You seem to draw conclusions from the gamer to user ratio.Quoting: poisondStop trolling please.Quoting: g000hAll I was doing was sharing my view on why the percentage Linux gaming market-share stands the way it does. To summarise - It looks worse than the Linux user market-share, because a lot of Linux gamers resort to other platforms because their favourite games are not available on "our" platform. So you assume every Linux user is a gamer? That's a bit silly, don't you think?

I'd love to get one once there's games. And I mean proper games, not "experiences".
Too bad they killed HL2 VR support, that was awesome.

ARK: Survival Evolved updated with the latest 'Unreal Rendering code', still terrible on Linux

And that's only a small excerpt from the linux-only issues.
I kinda started laughing when they announced the stable release date. With all the bugs the let accumulate affecting even the basic game mechanics in favor of dishing out new buggy features I'm expecting they'll just declare it finished at some point and move on.

Quoting: KetilI'm sorry, I meant the title, and the overall tone in the article was misleading for the state of ark on linux in general.Nope, the title and the article are pretty appropriate. The state of ARK on linux is abominable.
Quoting: KetilIf we want ark to be fixed, I think we must give ark the victories they get intended or not. That way they are less likely to see us as a mistake, too much support for too few buyers. Maybe it is too late, or maybe not. I hope it is not, because I believe this game can be fixed, and if it gets fixed, then it will be quite awesome. What victories?
- input for non-US keyboards: broken, never got fixed
- caves: unplayable due to graphics glitches, never got fixed
- water rendering: never got fixed, just in various states of brokenness
- performance: abominable, no improvement ever on linux, only got worse over time
- countless other graphics glitches: never fixed, just varied in the frequency they got triggered
And that's only a small excerpt from the linux-only issues.

Quoting: AnzaCheck out my project:Quoting: WendigoI hope they will add the search filters from the shop page to the games library.I have manually made categories for that, but information will never be quite comprehensive...
When searching for games that have local / online multiplayer or coop play you are forced to look up each game separately.
I have several hundred games in my library so that might take a while.
This really annoys me about steam.
Cross platform multiplayer is also important information. Though for some playing only with Linux and Mac people could be a feature :)
Search that uses tags from store would be so much better as keeping all the information up to date manually can be quite tedious.

Uh, powersave isn't the default governor, at least it shouldn't be. powersave will run your CPU at the minimum freq.
You want ondemand.

Dungeons 2 was awesome, especially since it didn't require a lot of micro-management so it was perfect for BPM+Steam Controller.
