Sadly these modern engines don't have good old BSP/brushes/sectors/patches/other options to create solid geometry it editor, so you need to create separate 3D models in Blender or import existing ones even for simple geometry.

Quoting: GuestI have a question about Steam Play... Contrary to most native games that ask the system to suspend compositing to improve performance (kwin supports this), I have to do it manually with WINE/Steam Play/Proton apps. I guess they will eventually implement this feature, but does any of you have a workaround ? I find it a bit annoying to have to set a rule for each game or to have to disable compositing by hand.I assigned compositing toggle to hotkey as a workaround.
(as you know, kwin doesn't disable compositing for all fullscreen apps but for apps that request it)
Valve have updated the Beta of Steam Play which fixes VR games, fullscreen improvements and more

Quoting: spacemonkeyIs it possible to install the Windows version of a game that has a native Linux version? Since the VR should work better I would like to try Everspace. But only the Windows version of Everspace supports VR (the Linux version does not). So, is there a way to install the Windows version and use Steam Play?https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/5638 [External Link]

Quoting: tonRYes, I'd seen severals on extensions.gnome.org. But, I research severals forums especially Ubuntu-related one, sometimes the extension may break the whole OS. I really don't want to take the risk. For me Arch is more stable than Ubuntu was when i used it.
Nowadays, I'm value stability. I'd no longer have enough free time to fix my computers like when I was 12-19/20, that's why I use Ubuntu. But, even Ubuntu also sometimes unstable nowadays, I don't know which distros I'll adopt next...
edit: also if you need stable DE you can use XFCE.

Quoting: YaumeisterIs there anyway to force Steam to download the Windows version of a game (911 Operator), rather than a broken and now unsupported Linux version?issue #5638 [External Link]
I tried to do this via SteamCMD, which I managed to force download it, but as soon as I launch the Steam Client, it does an update and download the Linux version.
