What game would you most like to see on Linux this year?

Persona 5, probably gonna be PS4 exclusive but thats the game I want most.
After that, other PS exclusives that will probably never come to linux, The last guardian, first 3 spyro and crash games, gravity rush, Ratchet and clank, the last of us, shadow of the colossus
Nintendo IP's thats NEVER going to happen, not legally, unless some real shiz goes down at Nintendo, Zelda, Pokemon, Splatoon, (I <3 Splatoon, Splatoon with the steam controller is just dreams), you know and pretty much all the nintendo ip's
Microsoft exclusives, Halo (Not the biggest fan but its well made and looks like I'd have a good few runs with it), Banjo Kazooie, Ori and the blind forest, Fable,
Talking in the world of possibility:
Persona series
Disgaea series (Disgaea 1 is on Windows)
Valkyrie chronicals (On Windows)
Ty the tasmanian tiger 1-3 (Confirmed for PC)
Sonic the Hedgehog games (Available for windows, Sonic Adventure DX looked like it may have been coming to linux over a year ago)
Bioshock 1-2 (Bioshock infinite is out)
Kingdom Hearts 3
The Walking Dead (Available for Windows and Mac)
Life is strange (Available for Windows)
Kuri Kuri Mix
and many many more tbh.
Games that are coming, confirmed or extremely likely:
Danganronpa series (first ones out on Linux)
Yooka Laylee
Rocket League
Tomb Raider
The problem with this list is that theres a lot that are extremely unlikely to happen, but not only that, confirmed games might not come out, or may be crap, some may come out then complain about linux sales, and also there's a lot of time left in this year, there maybe a game that comes out for linux which we never new about before, one that might come from no where and shock us, like street fighter V but perhaps something with a bigger audience.

How SteamOS could become a better console competitor

Pricing is a big issue to and the fact that you can't see them in stores.

But obviously some of this is personal taste, Lets look at the wii-u

Exclusives sell, they're the only reason to get a wii-u.
But from what you've earlier said, making half life 3 would hurt the game, but would make a lot of people look at getting a steam machine or putting linux on there computer, its just would they rather have more gamers from launch and thus more sales, or would they rather ween more people off windows? other companys don't have the insentive or care to ween people off windows, where as valve does, and I think its a easier and more effective way to get AMD and Nvidia to bring better drivers and bring linux a much higher present in the market then 1%
then ps4+Pc,

Quoting: NyamiouYou can play Typing of The Dead (not a Linux game) with the Steam Controller onscreen keyboard :Thats a good example of people being able to use the onscreen keyboard well and good.

So once you get used to it, I don't think any game that require a keyboard from time to time is going to be that much of a problem.
For me the biggest problem with the Steam Machines is the price, I would gladly pay 450$ for an Alienware Steam Machine but in France the basic one actually cost 600€ which is 670$, this is outrageously expensive for what it is. For comparison, a PS4 cost 350$ in the US, 350€ (390$) in France, so the taxes are not an excuse for Alienware to add 220$ which is almost a 50% rise in price. The Materiel.net Steam Machine is a way better choice for us (way more performances for the price), but it costs 800€ and I don't want to spend that amount of money right now.

Quoting: maodzedunExclusives are a dead trick - Xbox One has more and better exclusives than PS4. It still gets it's rear kicked by Sony.I strongly disagree with this, Xbox One doesn't have that many great exclusives in my opinion, I'd only be interested in an xbox one for rare's collection and halo, where as the ps4 has gravity rush, persona 5, ratchet and clank, the last guardian, blood born, disgaea 5, uncharted, Yakuza.

I understand that exclusives are bad for consumers, and that if you have the money your game should come out on all platforms.
The reason I think its different for linux exclusives is that people can obtain and use it for free, theres no lock out as its free and easy to use, where as xbox, and sony's exclusives mean a person has to go out to buy some hardware which offers to lock them into there ecosystems, offering little to no freedom and stopping people with low incomes getting a game because someone's greedy.
A linux exclusive might not be openly inclusive but anyone who has any kind of computer can obtain it.
Having a console thats got a better experience at a lower price isn't good enough for gamers because then there’s more exclusives and thus more reason to buy a playstation, If every xbox game comes to pc and playstation while playstation and pc keeps there exclusives, who's ever going to buy a xbox, you have all the games on xbox on playstation and pc, and its the games that are important.
I dont think its right that I should have to buy a xbox one to be able to play halo or banjo kazooie, but its the world we live in right now, and if sony didn't have as many, the most exclusives in my favourite areas, then I wouldn't have bought a PS4.
Valve already do exclusives, other then orange box on the xb360 and portal2 on the ps3, valve games aren't on consoles, wheres surgeon simulator on xbo or half life on the PS4?
I'm not saying the games have to be exclusives for all time, perhaps have them as a 4 months exclusive then come to everything else, but steam already does exclusives, they still have windows only games.
SteamOS has exclusives away from consoles, but they're all available on windows, If gamers want to play half life, they need windows, xbox360 or Linux, street fighter v isn't on xbox one, but is coming to steamOS, same with other games like danganronpa, we have reasons why people should get a steam machine over a xbox one, but if everyone has a laptop or desktop then unless the computers not powerful enough, then how much point is there, you get more games that work a bit better on windows then steamOS or Linux in anyway, and you're comfortable with windows and your xbo.

I hope ET is in this pack ;P
I do wonder what games are in this pack, and I'm quite upset we don't see more of these anymore, back in the PS2 days we had things like "Sonic gems collection" which put 13-ish sonic games on one disc for a cheap price, where nowadays you get them all separately which costs more if you want them all.
I do wonder what games are going to be in this pack, Asteroids and centipedes are in there which is great, but what else? and will they be upgraded in any way? will they have interesting art to the side of them because they don’t fit today’s screen sizes? etc

I dont recon they could do much in single player to keep it interesting though, like to learn to play and have a couple of fights its good but I dont imagine anything deeper then that... maybe unlock some parts that aren't available if you only play online?
I mean I am all for being able to play games when the Internets down or back home where you're lucky if you can watch a youtube video without it buffering 10 minuets..

Quoting: GuestOh, it has local co-op and single player. That changes things. I now care about this game. :3I'd be majorly shocked and upset if it didnt have local multiplayer.

DoubleFine seem to have attracted a bit of a mess with Psychonauts 2 funding

I wanted to back Psyconauts 2, I hadn't backed anything they've made but I heard people disappointed about 2 games that they made with crowd funding, I do hope this gets them on track, you fail, you learn, but sometimes it takes you a few falls to learn that lesson, but I'm not willing to throw money at someone whos got such a falling background.
I'll defiantly pick up Psyconauts 2 if reviews are good, but I dont want to throw my money at it till I'm sure which is sad because I REALLY like Psyconauts 1.
I do back things from crowd funding stuff but I try looking at more realistic stuff and from people I trust such as yooka laylee from the old rare guys, I trust them guys and the thing looks realistic especially since they already had a beta hub up!

Rocket League should be on Linux before the end of December

But there’s no games like that on PC, there are some nice playstation 2 styled games on steam but to little in my po currently, especially on Linux.

Quoting: XelancerI'd like steam machines to be the only console I need and buy for but Playstation exclusive games are just to good and are my favourite games, like next year I'm so excited for playstation exclusive games, I'm so hyped up for Persona 5, The last Guardian, Ratchet and Clank, Disgaea, Gravity rush, Hatsune Miku project diva, etc etc.Quoting: BonsWhat to you guys think?,If you see this from a average consumer perspective for once, and don´t look with you Linux glasses on.3 Reasons Steam Machines are better than Sony and MS consoles and 1 day someone will remind "average consumers" they at least have a choice now (which is better than no choice)!
1. I CAN PLUG IN ANY WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE AND PLAY IN-FRONT OF MY TV. (none of the others can do that)
2. The games are on average 1/2 the price of their PS store counterparts, and on a sale day sometimes a fraction of that.
3. I like gaming consoles because its NOT your traditional desktop & therefore no distractions when you just want to play, I work in-front of a computer all day, the last thing I want to do is play with those distractions right there... (some of you dont have that problem - then enjoy your childhood).
4. Every console has gaming limitations, some games supported and some not, if you like the games that Steam Machines support then thats the console for you; else be prepared to cough up top dollars for your latest AAA games (+ PS plus + Season Pass & enjoy).
Sorry off-topic again everyone. Looking forward playing Rocket League on Steam. :)
