I've been running Wayland on my laptop for a few months now. It works well there, and it has a crisper feel to it. You know what I mean? Barely noticeable, but seems like some window movement / animation / rendering is a hair more responsive and tight.
But I don't run it on my main machine yet because I need better clipboard access between applications. Also, I couldn't get OBS to work in the amount of time I was willing to fiddle with it. So, there are not many things holding me back.

This is great news, because I was recently thinking that the game looked pretty sweet. Too bad I have an older GPU and would be sad to play on low settings.

Quoting: tuubiThe original comment was the choice of what they showed off. I agree that showing off RSA support made me frown inside. You know that all of Microsoft Azure does not support EC certificates yet? So, I definitely agree that RSA support is a requirement. Still, it should not be in the spotlight. It should be pushed to the shadows.Quoting: ljrkA bit weird that they showcase RSA, most people (should) have moved to elliptic curves by now.Why would you assume so? Just check the SSL certificates of some of the websites you frequent. I bet only some of them have switched over to ECC certs. And that's a use case where switching is relatively painless.

I went through that and had a lot of joy creating a game that was just a little different than what he did. Lately, I have spent weeks and weeks going through Unity 3D tutorials. While the pacing of the official Unity coursework is a little more thorough and much more drawn out, after going through a lot of it, it's astounding how much (and how fast!) I learned from the Godot video series I linked. I highly recommend it if you are curious to try Godot out.

This card would be good for me. I am one of those 144Hz, 100+ FPS gamers if it's a shooter or action game. That means I often play on lowest settings sadly. It would be nice to crank the graphics up to max in BF5! I only get around 60 FPS on low in that game right now.
Since I have a PS5, spending $600 on a computer video card isn't as high of a priority anymore. I just wasn't able to get my hands on one many months ago, but I was able to get a PS5, so that's where the money went.
At this point, I feel like GPU's won't be obtainable for like 2 more years. *sigh*
Anyone have any tips for buying graphics cards? Are there manufacturers that sell direct and limit 1 per person and have bot protection and stuff like that? That's how I was able to get the PS5 (from Sony store).

Quoting: EhvisA refreshing change to see that when there is a big data breach, it's actually the company's own data instead of that of the users that gets stolen. This one almost sounds like an employee or contractor that leaked it, who had an agenda against the company, but harming all the users would be beyond their conscious. Or, that kind of data was sold secretly.
