Nice!

Scan have always been great in my experience, I've used them many times for computer bits.

Far better than using Amazon

Zoom Platform, a store aimed at 'Generation X' adds more Linux support

Quoting: BlackBloodRumThen there's easily mistaken ones like Alcohol, technically speaking also a drug. Again, people won't think of it as a drug.
That's not "technically speaking", it has got literally everything a real drug needs.
(I don't know how to express it in English, in German, a drug/Droge is considered the stuff that's addictive, should for sure not be used before driving and might kill you, while in English, there's stores full of "drugs".)
I know, that was my point entirely.

Most people will just think "It's alcohol" as opposed to thinking of it as a drug.

(We are in agreement here!)

Quoting: slaapliedjeI'd say like 90% people on the planet use some drug or another at this point (sure I'm pulling that number out of thin air). Granted most are told to take the drugs by their doctors. But it's really crazy to think about how dependent we are on medications these days.
Probably not far off that number to be fair. Let's not forget some people do drugs while not knowing and/or thinking of it as a drug. For example got one of those hip new Vapes with Nicotine? It's a drug. We're seeing kids as young as 8 or 9 with these in my area treating them almost as a fashion accessory!

Then there's easily mistaken ones like Alcohol, technically speaking also a drug. Again, people won't think of it as a drug.

That Steak and Ale Pie you're about to eat? Contains drugs  (in a very low quantity ofc!)

Great.. now I am thinking of pie and rum...

No, no, no and NO!

This is not good!

They have several games of my younger years that bring back a ton of memories.. that GOG doesn't have. Also they have the original Race Driver grid (though I already have it), which is surprising since that was yanked from sale years ago.

This is terrible!

My wallet may end up a bit more empty after this

Now the question is, is there a downloader like lgogdownloader for zoom?

PS: Joking aside, thanks for the heads up.. I've already found several games I'm thinking of buying... not good!

JSAUX now selling a transparent Steam Deck backplate
22 Dec 2022 at 4:58 pm UTC Likes: 7

Firstly, I think the concept is cool.. but... I'd rather my steam deck say "valve" on the back case, than JSAUX.

My other concerns would be: Airflow, has this case got the correct thickness and/or material for correctly absorbing and removing heat?

Does it fit correctly? I mean properly? You don't want a case that "over laps" or "is a little loose".

And finally, I'm generally not a fan of these "pop up to make a quick buck" cheap knock-off brands.

This unmounts the removable drive, it does not physically eject it
... well duh.

Did they really have to write this?

GOG giving away Broken Sword: Director's Cut during their Winter Sale 2022
20 Dec 2022 at 9:14 pm UTC

Quoting: GuestAh, finally a giveaway that has a Linux version

But (of course) I already own it
I run into the "already own it" problem a lot for giveaways! I've only got what? 500 or so on steam, 100 or so on GOG and a bunch on itch.io so it's not really a lot of games, but the problem is a lot of the giveaways and bundles tend to be repeats and such

I've tried this before, it's not a bad game! It reminds me a lot of the older Sims 1 rather than the modern abominations

KDE Plasma gets Wayland Fractional Scaling, Fixing Multi-Screen and a Steam Deck updater

Quoting: starfarerWell disabling the GPU is not an option since I am actively using it, that's why I am still on X11 (although it has many other issues).

I've only now seen the merge request but it looks like it failed.
Oh!

Well hopefully the issue gets resolved, it at least looks like some people are trying to make progress on it

Quoting: BogomipsIf I turn off a monitor (to watch a movie for example) and the PC goes to sleep all the windows and icons from the extended screen are back to the main screen when waking up. (If you lock the icons there is no difference.)
Your monitor may have an option to switch "power button action" - usually between standby and off, if it's set to "OFF" the computer is able to detect this action.

If set to standby, your computer should be oblivious to this action.

Thus, you may be able to set it to "Standby", avoiding this issue  - Though it highly depends on the monitor and many don't offer the option to switch it off.

As for the sleeping when monitor off, that may be a power setting - check your power settings.

(This is a very simplified explanation)
