A couple of months ago saw this [External Link] article on the Steam forums addressing the same issue, with another tweaks too, and it's what I use. I believe it's basically cpufrequtils with a script to switch performance mode on and off.

A bit more compromising question at the end of the interview for some exclusive information -confirmation of Half Life 3 :P ... Shogun 2, etc- would have been the icing on the cake!
Also, as personal curiosity, why is Feral not interested in releasing their own IPs? They have experience in the platform and surely can make some nice gameplay too :)
Nice interview overall though!

Played this game many, many years ago and loved it. It's flawed, and difficult, but the atmosphere, plot and original soundtrack are top!
I wish this wine port it's on GOG at some point too...

Every time I see “will only get it on sale” or the instant “will it be released with a sale?!” posts I really do fear for our platform as gaming choice. Why is a Linux port worth so much less to you? It damn well shouldn’t be. We are gaming on a platform that has to prove itself to survive in what’s quite a hostile environment full of publishers with dollar signs for eyes. If we consistently pay less, create storms about small issues like this, then again, I fear for our future.

Quoting: liamdaweYou don't own anything on Steam either. If you stop using the account you stop playing games bought on it too. Besides, Spotify can be used for free too albeit with limitations.Quoting: bubexelI will put various examples, netflix or spotify. So, but that's a bad example. You don't even remotely own anything on either service, you're renting time from them to Stream copyrighted content. Stop paying, you lose access. Netflix and Spotify are platforms themselves, they are a very different thing to what we're talking about here.
You have to have a new account or pay again for use it on a phone? or your smart tv or on your pc, linux or windows or whatever?
