I hear loud and wide how Forbes nowadays it's not what it used to be anymore*. Yet these articles are not only welcomed but also appreciated.
* Actually not that loud and not that wide, my comment was more of a southern hyperbole than an analysis on Forbes' articles xD

Nothing on the PC, the modules of RAM I got for the new build are faulty. Waiting for a replacement now. I will probably play Octopath Traveler on the Switch I guess. Which, by the way, I'm not enjoying so much. Too much hype probably.

Few parts of the trailer reminded me of Holliwood Monsters for some reason. And that can only mean good things.

Quoting: EhvisThe Wine thing is still not particularly useful as it is. I now had to switch to "in the last month" because I tried both Fortnite and two games in SteamPlay Proton. But on a whole my Wine usage is still best described as "incidental" and hasn't really changed. Wouldn't it be better to have something that shows how often you have used it in recent history? Maybe "Have you used Wine or Steam Play/Proton to play Windows games much in the past six months?", with options such as: never, sometimes, regularly, daily. This is actually a nice idea :)

In the last month I went from Intel+Nvidia to AMD+Nvidia, then I got RX 580 which I returned because it was too expensive, then the Nvidia I had died on me yesterday and last night found a Vega 56 for the same price I had originally bought the RX 580 just a week earlier haha. What a month! Finally on the AMD only team though :D

Earlier today I tried Children of the Zodiarcs (worked pretty well in Wine) and runs flawlessly as well. Streams beautifully as well but somehow controller configuration isn't working whilst on the Steamlink.

Quoting: KimyrielleSo...Regular Wine for games purchased in GOG. Proton for Steam :)
What do people think is the better choice to run Windows games now? regular WINE? Staging? Proton?

Quoting: buenaventuraIt could also be that Valve have promissed AMD to be the only manufacturer of the future/upcoming re-release of Steam Machines... That would assure enough dough for AMD and an argument of enough weight to continue being open source.Quoting: liamdaweThe recent revelations from Valve has made me rethink stuff and falling into tin foil hat thinking, like, what if they made SteamOS slightly uninspiring and their general linux strategy slightly unimpressive, just to make all competitors think "oh look, linux gaming is a dead end, just look at valve, they are getting nothing for their trouble" and then POUNCE on the linux market like this, so that they have a competetive edge by being first and best? Because in retrospect, becoming a patron and master of wine and linux gaming seems like a good long term plan really.Quoting: Fenix2412Interesting, may it be that Valve convinced AMD to open source the product and to change the "target" of it?Possibly yeah. This was a thought that crossed my mind too.
But that's just my Friday afternoon rant, perhaps I'm completely mistaken haha.
