Quoting: BielFPsI hope someone creates a gui application to easy activate freesync/adaptive syncIt's actually mentioned in the Mesa changelist:
util: Add adaptive_sync driconf optionIf I understand that correctly, they are talking about a config option that gets exposed via the DriConf [External Link] GUI tool.

But no need to complain, the Kickstarter was successful in the end, and that is no small feat for a game company to achieve.

Quoting: RFSharpeI am surprised that Godhood only "managed to get just over their goal of €50K from around 1.5K backers so they only really just scraped by with it." <snip>I guess that too few people actually knew about the Kickstarter campaign. I didn't read anything about it anywhere else than here. Also, it is my impression that they didn't really get the asocial media motor running at full speed...

What have you been playing recently and what do you think of it?

I've played through Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption, and must say it's really funny, although it has its lengths if one manages to miss some side-quests and doesn't know what to do...
Now that all mods I play with are compatible with KSP 1.6.1, I've decided to dig it out again. It's still one of the best games out there.
Apart from that I'm still spending an unreasonable amount of time moving cards around in Cultist Simulator.

I'm not sure yet if I should get the early access via Kickstarter or wait for a proper release...
On the one hand I'd like to play it. On the other hand, early access...
Edit: I mean, I already backed it yesterday, but I'm not sure if I should download the game before the official release.

It's a bit hard to judge from the video, but it seems you're controlling a lot more units in this game than you do in Rimworld (where you usually have less than 20).
To me it looks actually a lot like the very old versions of Dwarf Fortress, before DF became 3D.

Talking point: What are you playing this weekend?

I'm currently playing Hero-U. I got it while it was on sale on GoG at some point, and although I must say that I'm torn. I like the story and the characters, but the fixed schedule on most of the game days feels a bit like, well, going to school. Also, I guess I'm about 15 years older than the game's target audience. Physical age, that is. I still refuse my mental age to progress beyond 10.

Quoting: sergioandvarDoki Doki Literature Club! I think it's a great visual novel and not very long. It plays great on Proton, just click n' play! Why use Proton for a game that has a "native" Linux version packaged along with the Windows download (assuming you got it from itch.io)? It's written in Python, so it's actually platform agnostic, and you can easily launch it using the "ddlc.sh" file in the game's folder.

Dwarf Fortress is more beautiful imho. My second-last embark was in a mountain biome, and it was just stunning to see dozens of ASCII flowers start to bloom in spring.

If I may make a suggestion: It would be awesome if the article would include links to shop pages for the games mentioned (where applicable).
I'd consider this a win-win-win addition, as readers could directly go the the store pages for a game they are interested in, stores would get additional customers, and you would get some money through affiliate links.

I have to disagree. Survival games need neither story nor multiplayer, if they are done right. Sadly the only survival game I consider done right is Unreal World...
