Quoting: wolfyrionWell I havent played dota2 but I wanted to start playing with this anime but with an ATI RX 6900XT I was hoping to play Dota2 in stable 144hz but instead I am getting a lot of FPS drops and low fps.First, double check if you have the Compute Shaders on (on Vulkan API), which will cause a bunch of FPS drop at first, but overtime *should* help stabilize FPS. Second, Dota is known to be quite CPU heavy and RAM hungry (checking in system that ram is properly set as dual channel [External Link] for exemple)
Loading to watch a game or entering a new game can go to 1 FPS and then after a while it may settle to 70FPS.
I cant figure out what causing this since other games are playing just fine.
I have tried also different vulkan drivers but the same thing.

Weirdest bit for me will be this:
DK in game is voiced by Tony Todd (Candyman from the movies and Vortigaunts in HL2 as VA), but he won't be the VA of Davion, he'll be the VA of Slyrak (Slyrak is the Dragon that is hunted by Davion and willingly die to Davion's blade to give him his dragon powers. But it's hinted that we can't know if it's Davion that got the powers, or that Slyrak took over Davion).
Is that a hint for massive headcannon or is that a casting choice? I don't know, but I know they did their homework on the lore, so there is that to look toward to.

Quoting: ArtenYes, it is him. Dragon knight [External Link] . I expect origin story how he get dragon blood with ability transform into Elder Dragon Form.Basically this. Usable heroes here are Luna, Mirana, Sven, Anti-Mage... They aren't as many, they aren't too aliens when put against humans (because well, humans exist in-universe, so they are a pretty staple hook to get viewers on), but DK at least as quite the bit of room for his story, and the recognition.
He is one from theoretically usable hero for anime, with cool ability.

Wait and see for me.
Not that I doubt them, like they'd be in the top 3 of studios I would instabuy stuff from if I was to ever do that again.
On the other end, it's one of those games I'm not even sure a End of Life would matter. The modding community is solid and has already some insane work put into it from both the studio (that pro-actively support the community) and the modders.
As long as it break nothing tho, I'll definitely dig an expansion

Please, if you never tried the "Make fat money and commit war crimes" simulator, do so.
Brigador is amazing.
Sadly I have those others games, but now I need to scratch that Brigador itch again.

I didn't finished my last save and I was about to pick it back up, maybe because Siege of Dragonspear wasn't so much to my taste, maybe because I missed the point...
Well, guess it's time to roll again, lemme check what I don't have yet rolled. I mean anything with more than d4 HP level 1. Fuck wizards. Let's just do my part of testing.

from trailer, while I think the overall environment look fine, quite solid, the feedback of the gun put me off right away. I may keep an eye on it, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
According to a Stadia developer, streamers should be paying publishers and it backfired
23 Oct 2020 at 9:39 pm UTC
It has been understood that most people watch the streamer / content creator and may actually buy more if they don't feel coerced by the publishers behaviour.
Oh talking about "It's illegal", there is a laissezfaire.
The whole thing already blow up in 2017 (wasn't it PewDiePie saying so slur on PUBG? I believe it is, but don't quote me on that) and everybody, the publishers, the devs, youtube, and the players don't want anybody putting their fingers in that jam.
Because the publishers will earn bad rep, the devs will earn bad rep, youtube will lose money and the players want to believe the devs and publishers are close friends or close enough because they also do video games.
And if we have to talk about that as being bad, let's hop off the whole game industry as a topic train. Things are only going to be nastier because this industry has a strong case of bloated and inflated business and yet the pus never burst out of it.

Quoting: GamewizardOn the Caves of Qud spike all I have to say is "hey, hey, people". Seriously that man can cause massive spikes in sales it's not the first time he's caused a spike like that for a game won't be the last.Another game for people that don't know about Sseth's shenanigan is Synthethik, to the point the devs even put a blog update after only fixing bugs for a while titled "Hey Hey People". But Underrail, Starsector, hell pull up Sseth's youtube and just do them one by one, until it's some even weirder things like Evenicle, it's likely it's a massive bump in the sales. With Mandalore too, like W40K Mechanicus (a W40K that didn't sold a big chunk to the W40K heads right off the bat was a bad omen), and Brigador (tho it's a joint venture here).
Quoting: X6205Honestly, i am suprised that all those gameplay/walkthrough videos are not ilegal. How many people decide to watch gameplay instead of pay for the game and streamer got money from it. WTF? This cannot in any way benefit the publisher/developer.We have been there, Twitter and Youtube already had a meltdown about it a few years ago.

Quoting: X6205DMCA and others are scared of giants like Google.Implying Google didn't A) automatised it and B) actually think it's good for business, as they are put off the naughty list, but taking content out more often than note result in people putting back that content, sometimes several times.
Quoting: Purple Library Guybut legally he's on fairly solid ground. It's likely a bit more complicated here, despite DMCA and the guy being on fairly solid ground. 2017 event I point at, and previous occurrences (nintendo going way harder than usual on Fan games on youtube), and all muddied quite a bit the waters: not only it's uneven (basic statments from Bethesda or CDProjekt RED for example to explicitly allow them on their website against people less fond of it), but also because a lot of the abuse against the lack of pushing the copyright on most cases may make the whole thing hard to apply in court (DMCA is not a court action, it's a claim that can be contested, if it is, it may actually end in court)

Game dies, but the code will lives.
Tho I may look into getting it running here.
Amazing to see that kind of game, from a genre declared dead to live through and through.
And kudos whizse for the tips about compiling. I may have been losing my mind about that otherwise.

Valve's card game Artifact is still being worked on for a big revamp
22 Mar 2020 at 7:00 pm UTC
And unlike both of the above with cosmetics-as-a-products, there is easier way to go from there has Artifact have an upfront cost. Turning it F2P (within a very hardline non-gameplay altering design), going to sell skins (Desert board, Immortal Gardens board, cards with alternative arts, cards with heroes using another skin ie Bladeform Legacy, or Pilgrimage, or Jagged Honor one etc), is just one of the things they could do. And it still wouldn't do shit if the gameplay is not butchered along the way.
All in all, it's more a matter of actually having something that doesn't try to suck all the money out of players. Even excluding the most faithful believers of blizzard, their paid extensions being mandatory still work, it's simply not too much money to pour into the game to start with.

Quoting: KimyrielleNot sure which part of "100% no exceptions" wasn't so clear. If a game was -designed- to be "free" (haha!) to play, it sucks. FTP is probably the most successful fraud ever conceived. Except that it's (yet) legal.Yes, that's why a free mod turned game with the exact same thing for the initial investment is designed to sucks... I see... I see you didn't checked out what was paid in dota, but there is that if you are so sure to be right. Dota isn't for everybody that's true, but the monetization it has (excluding the lootbox themselves (ie plug in from Belgium), is the one true example of non-gameplay influencing F2P.
Quoting: TheSHEEEPPath Of Exile - completely free to play from start to finish, with nothing to buy affecting gameplay, skills classes, etc.Le Ma Fucking Oh. Nothing affecting the gameplay? Did you stopped at Merciless final or second Kitava? Shall we talk about about the billion maps there is and the puny 3 tabs you have, despite having to juggle around currency, maps, all the crafting materials? Excluding the fact you are hard locked out of selling shit (trade channel is still filled with bots and the worst prices you'll ever see, so nobody should even turn that on)? It make you need a mandatory premium tab otherwise making the currency, even last league, to roll in the gear for late game. Can it be cheap-ish enough? Yes, is it free? No fucking no, stop saying that bullshit. Let's simply not talk about MTX changing effects that make you absolutely unable to fucking know which damage type or even the proper areas of spells. Does it make the game unplayable? Well, beyond a point, straight yes. So could the community just drop that bullshit F2P PoE? Sure, you'll know if you are interested in the game before you spend money on it, which is fine, GGG need to make money, which is fine (tho the whole balance fiesta, optimizations, liveservice bullshitery (let's have a hardcore mode in a live service game is simply denying the fact the model is a pretty bad thing to begin with) and still not even cross-platforms), but that fairy tail of F2P? stop it.

Classic Icefrog: the community started to manage to gather a fair blob of knowledge on how to minimax the game, and what kind of move you want to do? Time to fuck our shit up and send most of it down the drain.
Tho the first impression seems to be that it'll require to be ironed out, the game is very snowbally right now. So if one want to try, one may want to get into that in a bit.

Quoting: chrtoxic community;Don't get me wrong, Dota isn't all nice by a good mile. On the other hand, it's a different toxicity than LoL. It can be as ass, but you have less of it about the game being over.
