"It's an very good trailer for a different game."
Many people thought it was a twin-stick shooter, but it had directional (called tank controls), and you could set them to screen absolute (W makes you go north of the screen, A makes you go west of the screen). The sad part is people didn't looked into settings to see what could be set before asking for a refund. Because the two control schemes exist from day 1.
The default on launch was tank controls, Armored-Up edition set those to screen absolute. Fast antigravs can actually be a good thing to put on screen absolute.
I'm just putting this out so people can get how it failed, it's more about how the trailers sold the game: first one wasn't about gameplay and the gameplay one showed another game.

Quoting: Liam DaweThe controls just pushed too many people away originally. One of the dev (Hugh Monahan) had those words about the game and its trailer, at GDC 2017 event:

Oh man, this is good. I hope they can actually get Killers off the grounds, maybe iron out stuff through the first game.
Starting the game is so much faster already.
But popping up the Acquisitions menu, it show they are looking out for reviews and critics: Mandalore Gaming did a video about Brigador (also endorsed by SsethTzeentach, with classical Mandalore-SsethTzeentach effect) pointing at the fact he'd do "terrible things" to drive a Leviathan.
Leviathan, the Spacer super-bubble tank, its elder franksteined brother, are on now, this look like a pretty good update.
I just hope they fixed the soundtrack sometimes dying when missions were too long.

Not gonna lie, seeing the wall run I was secretly hoping for either a "Streum On Studio" or some psi power, but it's just me projecting EYE2.
But just a good FPS with good movement would be pretty neat to play, FEAR and Mirror's Edge both are excellent at what they do, but a mix of the two, that's sound promising.
I'm interested, but I'll wait before buying it that they can confirm linux (at least getting us on track to help them)

I'll look into Ferdi, because I've now 3 or 4 applications and it's a real hassle.
I'm a bit sad Endless Sky news drop now, as I started up a new StarSector game. I guess I'll look into it at a later point.

Quoting: hardpenguina bug with background and radio music.Let's be honest, it may not even be a Proton issue anyway. While Bethesda's engine is homebrew, they did learn amazing lessons from Troïka Games (people from it founded Obsidian). Stable and bugfree games are not part of it. But on Proton 3.16 I had only a few (but some were massive) FPS dips here and there (and as far as I know, it was just the game kind of shitting itself).

Wait, weren't they supposed to fix the multiplayer working, too? I hope they actually did.
BG2 having you start off level 9 mean you avoid the many of the starting rules issues. Pacing is a bit better but it suffer a bit with the big cleavages of going into the Underdark for example.
IWD is super combat focus. Not bad, just a head up.
Pillars of Eternity is good, tho the villain of the first one is kinda lame (because he's kinda of way to mysterious, it may end up a bit anticlimatic). The second one is overall very fine.
I need to play Tyranny, it looks really good, even if it's a bit short.
Quoting: RafiLinuxAs a person who's not played an RPG like this in decades which one is the most new player friendly to get?BG1 has DnD3.5 starting rules issues (ie pathetically level 1 mixed in with encounters that may one shot you if you aren't a fighter. But then you are a fighter at later stages of the game). Pacing is fine without having some big flaws. Except Dragonspear, which was pretty damn slow for me.

Beyond Microsoft being Microsoft, one should simply look at the history of Microsoft applications, from messenger, to teams to skype, there is a large amount of those communication apps own by them that are but shells of what they used to be. The reasons? Most likely the landscape changed and they couldn't follow it as they wouldn't dictate it (Microsoft is a behemoth with so much inertia those "side" apps seems to always end up abandoned)
It's some good news but it could get worst depending on the IPO result. Imagine it being Tencent or Facebook acquiring it, I'm not sure it'd be better, but I'm pretty sure it'd be a problematic.
