You guys should give https://www.velocidrone.com [External Link] a bit of love :). It's the best racing Sim out there and has Linux support. It's so good that pilots use it to train for real events.
I have nothing against Liftoff, but the competitive scene is mainly at Velocidrone.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleSteam Deck won't ship with 5.14, it will likely be 5.15. Manjaro does currently have a 5.15rc selectable in kernels, but will likely get 5.15 soon. This is all relevant because 5.15 contains things that will affect how proton games run. It's delayed until February, so 5.16 is more likely. (with even more Valve goodies in the kernel)

Quoting: ShmerlNice progress. Looking forward to switching to the Wayland session when KWin / KWinFT will also add adaptive sync support. That is a bigger deal breaker than the need to use XWayland for Wine currently.VRR is planned for 5.22 https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/718 [External Link]
Proton 5.13-5 is now up bringing in some of the experimental changes

(even lutris removed proton support because it causes wired bugs outside of steam)

Quoting: BeamboomI wonder if that means that right now the "experimental" branch is behind? I've not noticed experimental getting a new version lately. It's not, Just click on the link to the changelog.
Quoting: axredneckWhat is a right way to use Proton outside Steam? You don't! Just use lutris wine or for latest patches wine from Tk-Glitch or GloriousEggroll.

Quoting: RandomizedKirbyTree47Yet, somehow, most threads about Steam games aren't filled with complaints that you'll lose all your Steam games (or at least, you won't be able to install them on any new computer) if Valve ever goes out of business.Well, people talked about nothing else the first ~5'ish years of Steam. Then they got used to it, like they will to streaming services like Stadia.

Youropa [External Link] is a gorgeous and unique puzzle platformer and works mostly perfekt on proton (character customisation isn't working). Y'all should give it a try :)

Quoting: Trias"You're going to need the most up to date drivers possible to use it fully. For AMD that means Mesa's RADV driver ...".RADV is Mesas vulkan driver for AMD gpus. It's exactly what you get from Kisak-Mesa PPA. Just not new enough. Mesa 20.3 is scheduled for december.
Just to clarify, this "Mesa's RADV driver" is some different Mesa driver from what I'm getting from Kisak-Mesa PPA, yes? Eh, I think I'll wait a bit...

It only uses one thread on my system (zen3 and polaris [mesa master]).
