Fishing Planet leaves Early Access with full Linux support, also has the Unity fullscreen bug

The game not saving your settings is a unity bug with the -screen-fullscreen 0 start parameter afaik.
Changing the game to windowed mode in the config file and removing the start parameter should fix that issue.

No need to fight over the DLC policy. That happens often enough in the Steam forums already^^

  • team balance

Servers were wonky too often. And teams would stay lopside for so long that matches were lost 2 minutues into a map.
The players on the servers I'm on usually vote to shuffle the teams according to hive performance, which usually results in somewhat balanced teams (of course it heavily depends on the commander and team communication whether you win or lose).

The official Twitter account for F1 2017 seems to have let slip info about a Linux version

How about Grid Autosport? Is that any good?

Quoting: BdMdesigNAll of the above and there's one important additional point to add here:
The game isn't able to utilize the graphics hardware at its full abilities. On my windows pc with a gtx 970 i'm able to play with max. texture size on a 4k display, on my linux box with a gtx980ti (CPU faster and more RAM too) there's still (after more than a year!) only the possibility to select the lowest resolution textures which make the game look at least ten years older than it actually is... that makes me think the port is broken / unfinished.
The current version the port is only 32 bit which means more RAM won't do you any good. VP is currently working on the 64 bit update (could be the reason why it takes a little longer, but that's just a personal guess). Arma 3 isn't really optimized and was hitting it's limited on the windows version too. AFAIK there's a problem with OpenGL saving stuff in RAM which DirectX saves in the VRAM so the port needs more RAM than the windows version which limits performance. Hopefully that will be a thing of the past for the next version(s) :)

Quoting: GuestIs this a unity issue, or related to Steam? I haven't seen that problem ever on any of my unity games, but don't have Steam.
Unity issue, but only with a specific unity version.

C++ is the feature I'm most interested in. IMO GDScript is way too limited (also I don't like scripting languages that much).

Quoting: salamanderrakeSeems like they completely abandoned Arma 3.
They didn't. The last work on the port depot was just 5 days ago. Though I do agree that they take their time^^
