If you use Steam you can also click Help -> System Information (upper left corner). This will give you a nice list with hard- and software infos.

Quoting: LakortaController works fine for me (windowed mode, singleplayer and coop). I'm using a Steam Controller. Have you tried changing the controls ingame? Maybe that could help.
Yes, I have. I live in Brazil so no Steam controller for me(the ones I could find cost about R$500). When I go to settings it allows me to set the controller and map the buttons - but when I enter a multiplayer game it doesn't recognize any input from any controller.
AFAIK they are using this for controller input: http://guavaman.com/projects/rewired/docs/SupportedControllers.html [External Link]
You could check if your controller is supported. Though since the controller worked for some time I don't think this is the problem. I suggest you report the bug to the developer (if you haven't already).

Quoting: GuestThis game has been such a disappointment. I bought to play with friends and when I tested it at first the controllers worked just fine, it was all good to go. When they came over, after the game was updated, my gamepads didn't work anymore, even changing the steam controller options, etc. I also couldn't get a refund because of how long I had owned the game for. I didn't want to refund but I don't want a local multiplayer game in which my gamepads are useless either.

Some things developers might want to think about when bringing a game to Linux

Quoting: MayeulCOn the other hand, wine games tend to clutter my home folder with non-hidden directories, which is worse.
PlayOnLinux has a PrivateUserDirs option (Configure -> Install components, you have to do that for each virtual drive). Should be doable with normal wine, too.

Bought it some time ago. It's quite fun (and cheap) :)

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

Quoting: lucifertdarkIf they're going to turn tail & run because of a few small minded people then they might as well shut up shop altogether as it's only going to get much worse now thanks to this.
They already did - on Linux. Thats the point.
I thought that was more like a guess than a fact?

Quoting: razing322) Germany ? The heck is happening ? I thought only games with Nazi imagery got banned (for obvious reasons)
The obvious reason being a pathetic attempt at hiding their shameful history from public view. Remember nazi in game are always the villans so there is no chance of the game glorifying it :P
Sorry but have to disagree.
I met germans and I think they apologize too much.
What the Nazis did was a horrible atrocity , but I don;t think Germany today is Germany then.
How many horrible things were done in Europe , Africa , Asia since then yet Germany is held up as the example for human wrong doing. Doesn't seem fair in my mind.
I'm not saying blame Germans today for what happened then, I'm saying censoring media because they contain bits of history your not proud of is a dangerous and slippery slope. Instead own up to it, tech that it's bad and *why* it's bad.
They/We do. Germans are taught about Nazi Germany in school. It's just that Nazi symbols are forbidden unless they're for educational purpose.

Quoting: razing32Ok , two things :

1) I am glad others are taking CD Projekt Red's example and releasing free DLC to keep interest in their game alive.

2) Germany ? The heck is happening ? I thought only games with Nazi imagery got banned (for obvious reasons)
Nothing new with game censorship in Germany. Some famous examples are Left 4 Dead (1 & 2) and Half Life (you can only buy censored versions in Germany). Fun fact: The board game Risk was (is?) also censored. E.g. "conquering" is replaced with "freeing".

To no surprise the Cossacks 3 Linux version has been delayed once again

Better than silently dropping the port. As long as the port still comes I'm happy :)
