Now that i checked my GOG collection the same happened with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
GOG sold it in great discount only for windows. I bought it, but thinking that dilemma again for Alien Isolation i think i'll pass. It's a windows sale and that how i see it. If we see that each windows sale is a wine - linux sale then i think we put very little weight in linux platform and the port - native efforts. And when ports do exist..

Quoting: EhvisHow steam does it? It doesnt look hard. You pay for the version you want and you get only that version.Quoting: chomwittI think it a proSteam mostly policy because steam can reliable monetize linux users. That seems to be the case. On GOG, Sega would be the sole publisher and would have to make an effort for the Linux/mac builds and separating the income. It doesn't look like they are willing to do that. I don't even know if gog can clearly separate the sales by platform.

About Alien Isolation.
You have an excellent game with linux port and you release it drm free in windowsonly !? Does that makes sense ?.In my view that is news that should be investigated.
What is the logic in Feral's policy. Does feral see steam as its only income stream ? (steam stream  )
In GOG forum on the Alien Isolation Windows only release it is mentioned that Feral has a proDRM policy.

I think it a proSteam mostly policy because steam can reliable monetize linux users.
But... if a linux gamer feels comfortable using wine .. then Feral seems gets empty handed here and windows as gaming platform stronger. (well that could be a wish for those who want linux as a productive platform!)

I played the game. But although it had good graphics , sound the story
exploded near the end in a metaphysical nosense .

Happy new year.
I enjoyed Stardew valley a lot! with my kid and Into the Breach! (cool!)
Also i found Overland very atmospheric and good.
Deponia is the only adventure title i enjoyed in linux!
Also i played :
And from libresource:
My Stellaris love took a break  after felling a in love with Endless Space 2 (unfortunately i cant play it with proton)
Universim was a little let down. Gorgeous in some aspect but not good gameplay.
A small sidetrack and honestly a year is not only happy happy:
...funny Stardew made me thinking about the biggest hurdle of steam. Meaning ..attaching a game to one account only!. I had to buy a second copy from gog.
And frankly i bump my head to the wall for not buying X4,rimworld etc from itch.io , humble or gog.
And finally proton is a blessing but also could be a curse.

Started playing Universim and Megaquarium.
Both look cool and childishly cute. I struggle in Universim with the navigation chasing nuggets to see what are they doing..!
Also i'm curious to find how and in what level Universim handles resources managament and ecology.
..also i kind of was hooked a little in the steam card-badge thing and i got a little philosophical of that kind of systems... that gamification kind of urge exploitation is fun but also scary. I mean would you leave a kid exposed to it (+1 to steam for parental lock)?

Hi , in my Debian stable box i mostly play (or i should say study!) Stellaris [External Link] and Cities Skylines [External Link].
I play Stellaris from within paradox launcher to lower mental distraction from steam and have alternatives and generally i like pausing games.
My windows partition is dormant lately...

When i saw for the first time Everspace video it looked impressive. And the freedom it offered moving and hiding in space were cool.
