ZOTAC Steam Machine is equipped with a 2.2 (2.8 turbo) GHz i5-6400t CPU, thus fails to meet minimum requirements.

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

I've completed Life Is Strange (still hurts) and Batman Arkham Asylum (yeah, I know, but bought like 2 years ago). I'm playing The Witcher 2 and hope to complete it soon. It's good, but I liked the first game more - apart from "scoring" ladies.

Quoting: grenadecxTerrible? It's more or less the same state as OGL on Windows.
Sure, but on Windows developers have a choice: OGL or DX. On Linux it's just OGL - or was, until Vulkan.

Please add Steam BPM or steamcompmgr to the list of Windows managers for those of us who play on SteamOS only :) "Not Listed" looks meh.

Quoting: 0aTTHardcore FPS like CS:GO I would always play with Mouse and Keyboard sitting on my desk. I would not want to play it with the SteamController or any other controller. You will always lose. That's crap.
You're of course right, that I have seen a guy using the Steam Controller for aiming arrows in Shadow of Mordor and, man, he was quick and precise. I don't know if there is a lot of auto aiming involved, but it was really impressive.

So while pro-levels of CS:GO are not achievable, many of us might not notice a difference.

Steam Controller reviews tend to focus on unboxing and early impressions. Many people discard it after a few hours of trying to use it like a PS4/Xbox controller. Check out this in-depth review - though if you have the controller, you might want to skip the description of the hardware:

Looks like VR support for Linux will be shown off at SteamDevDays this week, about time

For a second I thought that they want to demonstrate VR on Linux using Alienware Steam Machine, or perhaps even NEN SN970, the awesome Steam Machine I happen to own, which uses a modified GTX 960/970m/whatever, so does not meet VR requirements officially.

...And then I saw the ugly, battered tower labelled LINUX VR DEMO...

Feral's pipeline and releases are probably the best answer to questions if porting games to Linux makes business sense.

Last Saturday: a survey on my Debian box, yay! The previous weekend: I had to launch Steam in desktop mode on my Steam Machine to repair it and, yay, a Steam survey on SteamOS :)

The base game works fine on a Steam Machine. It complained about an unknown graphics card but no issues other than that.

I need to configure the Steam Controller properly though. The available community configuration is not great.
