Nice. I hope that means Steam.
Quoting: Mountain ManGoG has had a Linux version of Planescape Torment for some time. It's a Wine wrapper, but it works perfectly.Your mileage may vary as they say, but I definitely wouldn't call that perfectly. It's been a while but when I tried it it was pretty bad with the game taking over the entire desktop preventing alt+tabbing or something along those lines. Playing P:T using GemRB is much, much better if you ask me (which you can still do using your GOG copy of course). But hopefully this upcoming release will make all this moot regardless.

Their Chains of Satinav + Memoria series is fantastic. Quite enjoyed A New Beginning. Night of the Rabbit on the other hand is my least favorite game by them.

I'm glad that it includes the editor as well. That's pretty important. Now we have one more engine.

You make a good case.
I do think what Steam does/did with Steamplay should be the default practice, however I also agree that it's acceptable in certain cases, and you have illustrated quite well when and why it is.
My only concern is if this practice became too widespread, people using other platforms won't be able to assume that everything they own which has been ported will be available to them when they switch to Linux, and that could become a yet another significant deterrent. But I don't believe it will become that widespread.

This is great news! I've played both previous games and they are lovely. It's nearly impossible to express just how charming, adorable and uplifting they are. I'm very very happy about this!

Is Unity really that quirky and requires that much effort to sort out on Linux? I'm genuinely curious because
1. Never had many issues with Unity games thankfully
2. What can the developers even do to resolve those issues? They don't have the access to the source of the engine.
Would appreciate any specific examples and details.

Moon Hunters. A lovely action roguelite in a mythical setting with a lot of quirky narrative flavor, very fun both solo and in co-op with friends.
Torment: Tides of Numenera. Doesn't quite live up to its hype (even specifically just its own) in my opinion but is nonetheless engaging, original and interesting.
Expeditions: Conquistador. A fantastic turn-based narrative-driven RPG / management game that gets everything right.

GNOME Twitch is a rather slick desktop Twitch viewer

1. After a recent change in the GUI, there is always a visible thin line at the top in fullscreen.
2. It doesn't play stuff at 60 fps (as far as I can tell).
3. Seeking and pausing is broken (pausing a video for longer than a minute breaks playback and you can't really skip to where you were later either)
And yeah GNOME Twitch is pretty neat. It's very nice to browse streams using it too.

Besides certain shaders still missing (which produces transparent parts, wrong hair color and so on), it looks already pretty good, and the whole thing is fluidly playable (at least on lowest settings for me).
