I play exclusively single-player for similar scheduling reasons and it's fine. You have to do all the grunt work yourself (resource collection) so for me anyway it's slower going than those in the valheim channel on Discord but I'm still enjoying it after many hours.

For the most part I don't interact with any of the K-commands directly that I know of. I tend to stick with xterm rather than their console FWIW.
Quoting: scaineYeah, that was their "little joke" at the time - the user is an unfixable security vulnerability. Why are devs? Just... why? They can absolutely get in the bin with that attitude.Oh Kome on sKain, what's the problem with a little joke?
This has annoyed me all over again, so I'll spitefully not bother trying KDE after all.

Similar to what Hori said, if I already have a Windows system capable of playing games why would I reboot using a USB stick to play them in Linux? Would this interest existing Linux users at all?
I rarely reboot as it is. The idea of rebooting every time I want to play a game? It's not for me.
Does the old Windows trope "I see you moved your mouse, please reboot" still apply?

This beats the alternative. A decade (or more) ago the Loki setup tools were statically linked to avoid libc issues. It only built this way on some golden, magical system that icculus had solely for this purpose.

I can't say I'm too keen on having to use a MS account either. My only experience with MS accounts is on the X-Box and it isn't great. Creating and managing a linked account for my son was bad and killed the unboxing experience. And I'm reminded every time I go to log in where it takes 10-20 seconds for the password prompt to appear.

I've used several T-series over the years and they have been immensely compatible with Fedora. I have a T-580 now. I can't attest to every model though.
I didn't see a way on the Lenovo website to order one without an OS and not pay the MS tax but my work manages it somehow.

I find having to switch between mouse and keyboard several times just to open a new application to be annoying and slow. KDE has a gesture and a task bar way of clearing the screen to access the desktop so I can launch an app with a click or a swish followed by another click rather than clicking the apps, either finding or typing down to the app, then launching. Most annoying of all is bring up a terminal which I do a fair bit and rather than one step (right-click) it's three.
I noticed that one of the new Gnome features is to be able to re-order the app list. Maybe that will help but it's been quite a long time coming.

Quoting: PatolaThis is cancel culture. Condemn first, ruin the dude's life first, ruin all business opportunities and create a stigma that will follow him all his life. Then maybe in the future if he'll be judged innocent no news will be told, because it is not interesting. That's why there is such a thing as due legal process. Even a person suspect of the worst crimes against mankind is still only a suspect: they cannot be punished until they are properly judged.I guess the question is, how would you suggest this situation be handled differently? I know the U.S. is generally litigious but you don't have to sue every time you are wronged to somehow prove you were wronged.
