Voice Of Pripyat, Multiplayer First Person Shooter In Early Access

While watching gameplay, it really does look like someone grabbed some assets from various stalker mods and stalker and pushed it into a shitty engine. Stalker itself looks better in every way, even first one without mods. So if you wan to explore Zone of Alienation go for S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Lost Alpha - http://www.dezowave.com/ [External Link] it's free.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R." belongs to GSC Game World while "Stalker" to estate of authors of "Roadside Picnic". To make everything even funnier I have a book called "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." that is a "Roadside Picnic". And two(saw a third one) books in "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." universe(the game one)
So it might be confusing.

Indie Developer Threatens Gabe Newell, Game Removed From Steam
21 Oct 2014 at 5:07 pm UTC

Quoting: KelsThe apologism is coming thick and fast on Mike's Twitter feed, I see. Personally, especially coming as it does during the whole GamerGate fiasco, I'd rather not see gaming accept a "boys will be boys" attitude towards death threats. Steam did right, and Mike is facing consequences for his actions which is also right.

Sure, he can turn things around in the future and in his own apology letter he seems to recognize that being the public face of a company is the wrong role for him. I personally hope he learns from all this and works to be better in the future, and not to buy into the narrative that "it's not so bad" and starts seeing himself as victim in this situation.
And then Mike retweeted this:

Quoting: sgtGarcia
Quoting: OrkultusSo what happens to all those people who bought it on steam?
They cannot sell it anymore, but those who bought it will still have it in library.

As for Maulbeck let me quote some twitter:
"You went full Phil Fish, you never go Full Fish."
Phil didn't use death threats. So not even comparable.

Quoting: Morph VerseOwh grief!, this reminds me of Phil Fish going ragefest on gamers because people recorded his game on Youtube.

And suddenly he did not wanted to make a sequel of Fez because he felt unjustified.

But this guy!, what is going on here!..
There are a lot of differences:
1. He didn't make death threats.
2. He quit because of abuse he got from a lot of people, all the time.

So Phil was a victim. Not even a single similarity.
