Quoting: liamdaweEh? I've posted 3 articles that could be classed as guides this entire month. One last month, and before that the last was November 2016.

Respectfully, I completely disagree.
Eh? I said oversaturated with "non news", and that "this one" was a guide.
I counted 6 "non news" articles just on the first page.
6 in the front page? I had to go back to Feb 15th to find the last one, about how to find Linux releases on Steam. What are you terming 'non-news'?

Regardless, I like the mix, so maybe Liam's suggestion of changing the site to allow filerting by tag will keep everyone happy.
If he talk about TUTO, BUYPRICE & EXPERIENCE posts, i would say theses :

A note about security after a possible security issue was discovered
26 Jan 2017 at 12:25 pm UTC

Thanks to Eike, i was wondering if i was the only one to thanks the guy on IRC for his help. I know liamdawe that it's sure been a really unfunny moment considering you was planning somes time with your familly and this user didn't act as he supposed to do. But he still helped us. Also, the affected part of the website seems to contains dumb data(Last viewed url, time viewing current page, etc.), i'm not even sure it's was worth quitting your familly for that...

Antergos seems to be a great project but it isn't based on Debian so nope, i don't think i want it.

Ahh, I didn't know this one. :D

However, after reading their (Pornhub's) article it seems like they don't admit it directly but the Linux rise is mostly due to them doing some work on the platform recognition code. How else would all three (Linux, Mac, Windows) grow 23% and Others only drop this tiny bit? Unless I'm missing something and these shares are not supposed to add up to 100%.
They are'nt supposed to add up to 100%, each % is relative to his data only.

The Steam 2016 Halloween sale has some nice Linux games for cheap
29 Oct 2016 at 1:03 am UTC

Quoting: km3kIt's not Halloween-related, but I'm buying the three "Let's Explore" games [External Link] for my kids since it's $2.99 for all three. That's 80% off the normal bundle, or 86% off buying them individually.

They run on Linux "natively" (the Steam version uses ScummVM) and they run very well. These games are kids exploration/learning games with lots of silly environment interactions. I'd estimate that they're good for ages 3-8.

I recently came across the old CD version of Let's Explore the Airport, got it running in ScummVM and my kids love it. I was planning on just getting the other two, but right now it's cheaper to buy all three on Steam than to buy only two.

Edit: They also run well in the Android version of ScummVM. These old point and click games work well on tablets.
I do remindber this studio when i was a kid... Maybe this package could interest some of us : http://store.steampowered.com/sub/42723/ [External Link]

Linux community has been sending their love to Feral Interactive & Aspyr Media

Quoting: SilelmotLike said before also the teams working on the major gaming-engines in favor of linux have to be thanked.

I started some time after steamos was avaiable first and I know a lot of ppl are dissapointed of the little effort valve takes for this whole thing.
But am I wrong to say all this positive developement across the gaming-scene of linux started with steamos? Really dont know. Just started to use this awesome OS since then. 100%

Edit: not 100%. Stupid software for tax returns is my last reason for dual boot once a year
