As long as the game is fun and runs well I do not care too much about how its ported

The Humble Paradox Bundle 2018 is a rather enticing deal

Yeah different people have different taste:-)
I got Stellaris at launch and really liked it and play it a lot still, so I bought all DLC and expansions when they came out.

For a new player I think the current bundle is a good idea to try out Stellaris(and the other games, but I havent played them yet). The base games got updated in a lot of patches since release and should have enough content to play it for many hours for those that like that kind of game. Then if you like it and play it a lot the new update will be out and then if you still play it you can look at the different DLC and expansions , maybe on sale.

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

Its hard to only pick one.

My first choice is Total War Warhammer 2
because its total war and warhammer, and we have the very good first one already.

Wow, that is nice. I already have Stellaris, so I will buy tier 2 for Magicka 2, Crusader Kings II and Pillars of Eternity, 3 games I have been interested in for some time.

SteamOS has a fresh beta update with some major package updates

Quoting: RedfaceThe Alienware Steammachine R2 I have and also the Zotac NEN support power-on from USB, which at least on the Alienware is controlled in the BIOS settings under the power options. I do not know about any settings on in the Steam client BPM or window mode about that, but I was asked on the initial setup if I wanted it turned on.

I did turn it off it again after a while because I also have a wireless mouse with an USB dongle connected which on the slightest movement turned the steammachine on when I did not want that. So it is more convenient for me without. But it works when the hardware and BIOS support it.
That's quite interesting!
I've installed SteamOS several times by now, but I have never been asked such question on my custom configurations setups.
So, looks like USB Wake-up works after all, but only on specific (and tested) hardware configurations (such as "official" Steam Machines).
On my current custom Steam Machine I can wake it up with the wireless steam controller in desktop mode, then click back to BPM. Is practically the same functionality.
Thanks very much for the info :)

P.S. Come to think about, SteamOS also has some specific extra settings when installed on Alienware machines, something about those case lights or something similar...
I am not an expert in the various suspend/sleep/shutdown states on modern hardware, but I believe its USB power-on and not USB wake-up. The OS is definitely shut down and all fans and lights, but some electronics still must be running to check for USB activity ofc. And its a fresh bootup when I use a USB device, not a resume or something.

And yes the Alienware lights can be controlled from the BPM including turning them off.

The GOG winter sale is on, you can grab Grim Fandango Remastered for free
12 Dec 2017 at 7:13 pm UTC

Quoting: cyanidearsenicI can't figure out how to get the Grim Fandango. Does it only work if you're buying other things? Otherwise the cart button doesn't work directly from the link and the only way to get it added to the cart has it in as costing $14.99
Try clicking on the banner from the front page, I found that tip here: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/7jbvnr/grim_fandango_remastered_giveaway/dr58f48/ [External Link]

Supergiant's Pyre updated with a True Nightwing campaign mode
28 Sep 2017 at 6:48 pm UTC

I am thinking about getting it too. It is currently 25% off in Steam, and also a sale of their other games Transistor and Bastion which I have already.
What I have to decide is if I just get Pyre or complete my collection to get the soundtrack of all 3 too:-)

That is maybe because a library requires a fairly new glibc, SteamOS has the same problem.

There is a workaround posted here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/404590/discussions/0/2183537632741033088/?ctp=2#c1473096599329594650 [External Link]
