If they updated the textures then probably you should see the improvements in ScummVM as well. If not, well, there is at least that new font and new menus?

I believe the problem is that there is no HoMM2 on Steam and the version of HoMM3 that is available on Steam is non-compatible with VCMI (and in general considered inferior).

Still fun and also you can play it in split-screen - there is a mod to be downloaded from the Workshop that enables it :)
