Quoting: m0nt3Nier: Automata
Nier: Automata (Japanese: ニーア オートマタ Hepburn: Nīa Ōtomata?, stylized as NieR:Automata)
And is a squenix game.
I don't know, we have yet to see a Linux port of a Japanese Square Enix game. Seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

Quoting: Geppeto35About Serious sam, why steam doesn't mention it works for linux? Does it ?
As mentioned in other posts, they give you access to Fusion. Fusion is the only engine that supports Linux for the First and Second Encounter games.
Will it count as a Linux sale?
People need to not put so much thought into that, people get bogged down with it. This doesn't matter unless it's an external port, which Serious Sam is not.
Well, I'd say that it's about more than where the money goes. To me, it's also about showing that the Linux audience is indeed there.

Steam now has a bunch of Anime shows you can buy, also a sale on Anime games

Quoting: M@yeulC2. DRM free. I don't buy DRM-ed movies.
This is why I buy Blu-Ray movies and shows and I rip them. I don't think there's any other reliable way of (legally) getting DRM-Free movies and shows.

NVIDIA might have more open drivers in future on Linux

I'll be highly skeptical of this, however. Nvidia just doesn't seem like they're really that open to me. Just look at G-Sync, there's nothing stopping Nvidia from adopting Freesync, rather than trying to sell their overpriced G-Sync tech.

Quoting: pbMore sorting options is what I'd really like to see. For example sorting by user reviews or by achievement completion percentage.

Oh, and being able to download the soundtrack and/or extras without downloading the whole game (esp. a Windows-only game) would be awesome.
Yeah, I'd like to be able to filter games by user tags and listed features. I'd simply like to type in "sci-fi" or "local multiplayer" and find relevant games in my library.

Shadow of War, a sequel to Shadow of Mordor announced, no word on Linux yet

Quoting: BeamboomShadow Of Mordor came across to me as a patchwork with the custom skins that skipped to default skin in cutscenes. That was particularly stupid if you played with the female skin/model, like I did.
Eh, that's mainly because the cutscenes were pre-rendered. Honestly, I think that pre-rendered cutscenes should be pretty much dead at this point(aside from a few small cases).

NVIDIA 378.13 stable driver released
14 Feb 2017 at 10:04 pm UTC

Quoting: BoypageDoes it fix the screen tearing I experience with my GTX1060? I have checked the "advanced" composition boxes in nvidia settings on previous driver. Still not gòod.
Have you run the nvidia-settings application as root? The display settings won't save otherwise, as those settings apply to your xorg.conf file.

Shadow of Mordor patch released for Linux, fixes issue with NVIDIA cards and more

I love this update simply for the addition of proper surround sound support. The only other times I've personally had proper surround in games have been in Minecraft and through Windows games in Wine. It's such a rarity right now and I hope this is a sign of things improving.

Appreciating how far Linux gaming has actually come in the past few years
22 Jan 2017 at 3:06 am UTC Likes: 1

I'm curious, how was gaming in Linux before 2013? I only became aware that Linux was anything more than a CLI OS(as in, completely lacking any GUI elements) in the second half of 2013 and installed Ubuntu for the first time in October of that year, after Steam had officially started supporting linux.

Is Valve still working on any fully-fledged single player games?
—Gabe
Yes
Well, that's a relief. It's been about six years since they last made a new full-fledged game.
