Quoting: PatolaIt is not an RPG then?
Stasis and Cayne were pretty much point and click adventures. Looks like this one might extend the mechanics a bit, but I'd expect most gameplay to resemble that. And Cayne is free, so easy to try and see what they're good at.

I loved the atmosphere and experience from Stasis and Cayne, so I'll definitely have a go at this one when it releases for Linux.

Quoting: omer666To be honest, I didn't vote this year because most things I've been playing were on Proton+DXVK. Truly groundbreaking technology, it deserves its first place as the most meaningful open source project of the year!
It's a slightly difficult one though. Proton is not just its own project, but the result of quite a few others. Including the very important part, the Steam client that had it integrated for easy use. I voted DXVK myself because I found it technically impressive and I believe that it was a catalyst for a lot of development. In fact, I doubt Proton would have existed without it.

Quoting: MohandevirAm I wrong to say that, in the GPU repo, 440.59 is tagged for Ubuntu 20.04 only, atm?

You're not wrong. The graphics-drivers ppa has been a bit random lately.

Psyonix are ending support for Rocket League on both Linux and macOS (updated)

Quoting: antisolWhat about a game that isn't on proton's "supported" list but which the dev has told me "just use proton. But it's not officially supported"?
The you politely reply that proton is too much of a risk to spend money on and move on to play something else. I have more Linux games in my backlog than I will ever have time to play. There is no "need" for proton.

Quoting: antisolwhen "viable workarounds exist" with Wine being mentioned.

This is exactly what I predicted and why proton is not a good thing. It gives devs the option to just be lazy: "Just use proton. Oh it doesn't work? Well we don't actually support it, so tough. Oh, the problem occurred 2 hours and 1 minute into the game? I guess no refund for you."
On the other hand, a lazy dev is not likely to produce a port anyway, so it won't make much of a difference.

As for the refunds, we now have proof that you can get them for these special cases, even if time is exceeded by a large margin.
