I'm not sure what the point is, PhysX has been dead for at least a decade and Nvidia murdered it.My guess is that they're hoping that the open source community fixes their little "5000 series doesn't support 32bit PhysX" debacle.

But I'm not sure how far you'll get with PSVR2. Maybe the community projects made some progress on it, but it's definitely not something that Valve has been doing.

Wait, SteamVR supports Linux-based operating systems now? Now? If you define now as since like 2018?

Better late than never I suppose. That rogue window started appearing in the 1.x days, so that's at least two years ago. I still consider SteamVR 2.x fatally flawed on Linux. Of course, 1.x wasn't exactly great, but everything non-XR was more or less playable. With 2.x I had to disable async reprojection because it causes too much lag (ironic I suppose). Right now I play XR games using Monado. Some OpenVR games I play using OpenComposite+Monado, but OpenComposite won't work well with everything.

I love the game but I keep wishing for a renewable energy source option, or coal/oil sources that are endless. Moving and rebuilding critical systems over large distances is super tedious to meWhy would you? Just leave power where it is. As you say, it is infinite so once built it never needs to be touched. And with the new(ish) power towers, you can easily connect power to the whole map.

I think the anti-cheat only whitelisting Steam Deck will become worse. Especially when it's not added to prevent cheating, but to protect the microtransaction business as it seems to be the case with this one. In any case, it won't bother me with this one. I made it about a third into the trailer before I decided that I'm definitely not the target audience.
