Dark sci-fi action RPG 'Hellpoint' looks good in the new trailer, still coming to Linux

Is it just me or is this the most unimpressive trailer ever? I thought a trailer was supposed to get you excited or even hyped to try something. Sometimes to a point where the game can't live up to it. But this just seems completely underwhelming and leaves me without any desire to try the game.

Valve have put out a new Steam Client Beta, it's small but good for Steam Play users

I think my most used reason for going to the Steam overlay might be to just check the time.

Initially, I wanted Dirt Rally 2.0. But since that game is now on my blacklist due to the always online requirement of the single player campaign, this will be an interesting alternative. All I need now is "Extra Time (Linux)". :D

Looks like Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 may be coming to Linux

Exciting news! If this turns out to be accurate, I might pick up the older games in the next sale to prepare for this.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyIf Stadia becomes a sizable thing, I wonder if someone will ever create a sort of wrapper that turns Stadia Linux ports into real desktop Linux ports.
I doubt it. You won't be able to access the game files. Unless someone from Google did it, but I highly doubt they'd be allowed to do that.

Google announce ‘Stadia’, their new cloud gaming service built on Linux and Vulkan

Quoting: MohandevirJust thinking about it... It's probably related to UPlay stuff? Ya know... No UPlay on Stadia but UPlay on Desktop... And no Linux version of UPlay so no Linux version of Assassin's Creed...
The version they made is likely unsuitable for normal use in more ways than just uplay. Think display output (the new Vulkan extensions) and control input handling for instance. Probably also differences with how it stores progress. So even though the biggest component was made to run on Linux, it's not everything that's needed for Steam. And I don't expect them to "bother" with it for less than a percent. It's simply not in the nature of the big publishers.

Quoting: EhvisVery nice addition to the tag system! I like the tag type box more than the list of the regular tag filtering actually. Although the list doesn't require you know what is available.
Which section do you mean by "regular tag filtering"?
When you click on a tag, you get a list at the top for further selections. That's the one I meant.

Quoting: LinasI understand the importance of Steam Play and Proton, but is this really Linux gaming newsworthy? I personally don't think so, but I'd like to hear other options.
It is a game, running on Linux. Buying with Steam Play shows the developer a Linux sale.

You say you understand the importance...yet you made this comment?
While true, this game being an OpenGL game ran fine in Wine on the day of release. So a bit on the dated side. I have to give credit to the devs for updating the game for so long. It's getting quite good reviews these days as well.

I personally don't see the value of a "linux sale" for a game that doesn't support Linux. It's nice to have the option to play something, but I don't think it will really get noticed by the devs or publishers.

Prodeus is another epic looking retro inspired shooter that will be coming to Linux

Apart from the pixelation filter, it looks more like Doom 2016 than something retro. A bit odd. But the Kickstarter page suggests you can turn off the pixelation and just have it 1080p.
