People (and most animals) are naturally selfish. It takes a conscious effort to consider the needs and wishes of others. Unfortunately there will always be people that are either incapable or unwilling to do so.

Quoting: razing32Honestly I don't get it .
It is clear whatever engine these Total War games use make them easier to port to linux and they clearly have a fanbase in our community.
Yet every time a port is announced i see people groan how they hate them and won't buy them.
What do they expect from Feral ? If something is easy to port and popular and by consequence profitable why are you so surprised they are doing it ?

I don't see Creative Assembly changing anything in their system for the sake of Mac and Linux ports. So this is unlikely to happen.

Total War games aren't really my thing. I bought one of them to support Feral, but it's obvious that I don't have the time and patience for it these days. But it didn't replace one of the unknown hints on the Feral radar, so there is still more to look forward to!
Can you hear that? It's the Steam sales train and it's arrived, also Steam Wishlist revamp

The new wishlist is functionally good, but I would have preferred the items to be a bit smaller.

The arbitrary weapon choice was probably the most amusing thing in this game. I had some good success smacking zombies around with an AC unit. Unfortunately, like all weapons, it eventually broke. The game had some pretty major technical problems, so I haven't tried anything recently.

One youtuber I watch made a pretty interesting argument about Shadow of War. He was trying to decide whether loot boxes had ruined the game by introducing an excessive grind. And he eventually decided that what was wrong with the game could not even be fixed by spending money. They simply failed to make the late game interesting enough to want to keep playing. Sad really.

No thanks. We don't need lootboxes, and other extras in a single player game. Also it is just not a good game. :(

Really? Those just seemed like a few things that were bolted on because they had trouble justifying the Tomb Raider name. There weren't enough of them (or they were just too small) and they offered little challenge. I really hope they did better in RoTR.

Quoting: PeciskQuoting: Mountain ManGlad for people who enjoy this franchise, but I found the first game to be such an on-the-rails slog that I won't be buying this.
You know what best feature for me in first game? Side tombs and possibility to replay levels without story. Yes, story is on rails, but that's given.

Now I'm curious. IIRC, RoTR has DX12 support. Did Feral use that basis for their port to Vulkan or did they go for DX11 translation they already had working.

They've been steadily building the features needed for scenarios. I don't know if that means they'll add a full campaign before the actual release though.

Quoting: subWill it feature a single-player campaign?
Or is it a pure sandbox game?

After some thought, I'd have to go with Vampyr. For no other reason than that it appears to be my type of game.
Since Feral has worked with Dontnod before, it is not impossible. It would be a different project for Feral though. Vampyr is a UE4 game and it's not so much porting the game, as it is dealing with all the problems that may occur while building and running it on Linux. Mac should be easier since the Metal implementation of UE4 appears to be reasonably solid.
