Life is Strange 2 confirmed to be coming to Linux in 2019 from Feral Interactive

I don't mind waiting. At least the whole thing will be out. In fact, I'll have to make a new plan now. Play both LiS and LiS:BtS before LiS2 is released!

Quoting: archtoastyut if you buy LIS2 now, and play it now they wont get any money for it.Basically, what has been stated before. They get paid after it's announced, provided it's a Linux sale. Which means you shouldn't install it until two weeks after purchase. This may be different if it works with SteamPlay though, since valve stated that is also seen as playing on Linux.

Quoting: tuubiTrue, but the dev has milestones until July next year. And those cover the "d3d9 examples", not complex games. That likely means much more tinkering to get compatibility/performance better for games after that.Quoting: EhvisI expect a year will pass before you'll larger numbers of games run on this one. These predictions are hard. Might very well be that getting the first "big" game running is the big hurdle to clear, and then you'll find a bunch of games with similar requirements. The best thing that could happen would be if more developers join the effort.

Quoting: derklempnerI imagine you can flip the signs of the scale factor. You're still left with an incomplete set of controls buttons though. Unfortunately it doesn't revert to defaults for those that aren't present in the .ini file.Quoting: EhvisI was able to create a config that changed the basic controls (movement, fire, use), but haven't found the right names for the rest.Any chance you figured out how to invert the mouse? Because I couldn't find it in-game or in any other INI file. I can't play unless I have that option.

Vulkan crashes. But adding the -vulkan command line switch makes it happen.

Quoting: mylka1) why are there no enemies?Too few people play. So in the one minute queue time you often find yourself alone. (number is shown on screen)
2) how do i switch to vulkan

All the AxisMappings work. For ActionMappings only Fire, Jump and Use work. And maybe Reload, can't remember.

Quoting: WorMzyBah, it hard codes qwerty controls, so it's basically impossible for me to play on a dvorak keyboard. :(I was able to create a config that changed the basic controls (movement, fire, use), but haven't found the right names for the rest.
I'll see if there's a config file somewhere.
EDIT: There is a config file~/.config/Epic/CrazyJustice/Saved/Config/LinuxNoEditor/Input.ini
But it is empty by default, and gets overwritten with an empty file when you start the game, sooooo.. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

A big one you didn't mention:
The falling system doesn't allow for much horizontal distance. This means that players can't go to every place on the island.
Edit: Oh yeah, crashes on Vulkan. Backtrace completely consistent.

Quoting: 14I don't understand why a group of people that willingly choose to be in a 1-2% minority would develop an entitled and demanding attitude. It is our choice to play on the underdog platform. Man up and create reasons to deserve respect.Interesting, isn't it. Especially considering that HBS has been exceptionally good towards Linux and deserve nothing but respect for their determination in getting us those games.
