The Linux 2017 GOTY Awards are now over, here's the winners

For favourite porter I voted for Knockout games because I found Aaron Melcher's name in the credits of Tacoma for Linux/Mac programming. I hadn't even heard that he was involved before then, so I decided to reward the work done completely out of the spotlight. Seems I was the only one.

Cattle and Crops, a farming simulation and management game that has Linux support

The Tech Demo has had a Linux build for four or five months. I have kept an eye on the development, but I'm definitely waiting till at least early access (which has already been delayed for quite some time) before trying it. I wonder if some of their devs have been Linux users from the start. That would explain the choice of a native OpenGL engine.

Realistic racing game 'DRAG' coming to Linux soon, built on Linux and it looks astonishing

The thing I am not seeing mentioned is wheel and force feedback support. Seems like a game with suspension physics should have that. Is that supported or on the agenda?

Quoting: MintedGamerSuch a hard decision to choose only one, but for me I'd have to say Feral again for the quality and number of ports they do each year.

Feral is the most prominent one. But I saw Aaron Melcher's name in the credits of Tacoma for linux/mac programming. Something I didn't know beforehand.

QuoteThe list fluctuates of course and it would be better if PUBG supported Linux, but sadly that feels like a dream right now.

Wasn't it the ceo who said they want to bring pubg to every platform conceivable? I'm pretty sure he did not have Linux in mind, but you could try to hold them to that. :D

Quoting: DuckeenieWould it be viable to fold this into wine at some point?

Before that even becomes a question, it needs to be better than what Wine currently has. If that will even happen, it will be quite some time in the future.

The developer of 'Super Indie Karts' is planning on a Linux build for this retro racer

I have to admit, the first Mario Kart was some of the most fun I had on a SNES. I got pretty good at it as well. And saying that this is inspired by it, is an understatement.

We have over 150 beta keys of the co-op MMO 'Dead Maze' to give away

Tried it for about two hours. Still a lot of technical problems. The main one is that after about 45 minutes the game starts to stutter and you have to restart it. Also had a graphical glitch, placement issues of objects in your base and partially wrong language selection. I'm also not fond of the lack of graphical settings (window size is the main one) and key rebinding.

An for the game, it's quite a grind as is usually the case with mmo games. But it does give you stuff to do so you don't have to go out and grind specifically. For now anyway. A bit strange (to me) was the fact that it feels more like a single player game where other people walk around than a multiplayer game. Part of it is that it (at least until now) has a very linear quest structure and no real need for a party.

Quoting: EhvisYou can do that through the SteamDB sales page.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's not filtering out games I already have on the sales page, ps thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I'd not seen that page before. :D

After you have logged, there is an option under the search parameters "Hide owned games".
