I was wondering how this would play without visible people. I'd like to have a look as well.

Congratulations on the 9 years of GoL! My only regret is that I missed almost 7 years of it.

And turning 30, it seems like ages ago for me. Oh wait, it WAS ages ago! :D Don't worry about worrying about 30. Before you know it, you'll be worrying about 40. :P

The Steam Linux market share for June was 0.52% as Steam is still growing rather rapidly

Quoting: cprnI can agree as long as fairy stable means growing slowly but otherwise I just can't believe it.
Could very well be possible. I don't think the data is accurate enough to clearly show something like 10% growth of Linux users over that period of time.

Quoting: aFoxNamedMorrisWouldn't that mean roughly 19,500 new Steam users on Linux per month? That's no small number.
Not necessarily. Back when Steam had about 125 million users, about 1% was on Linux. Now it must be going to about 200 million with 0.52% on Linux. Accounting for some statistical variation, that is about the same. Seems to me that Steam Linux users are fairly stable at just above a million.

Dead Cells, one of the best games to come to Linux this year now has a Linux build on GOG

Played it for three hours now. At first some of the enemies appear quite brutal and unfair, but it helps to understand the moves and get the right gear. The progression of weapons and your own skill are quite nicely balanced. Sometimes you do get a bit unlucky on the weapons and you really don't have much of a chance. Like the first boss I encountered. First time I could barely damage it, second time I had a much better weapons and didn't have too much trouble with it. Excellent game!

RocketWerkz to seriously consider a Linux version of 'Stationeers' with more sales

I've seen the game streamed a couple of times. It had some interesting mechanics, but at the time was still a little bland in the long run.

Quoting: BeamboomI think it is so odd that a port is dependent on the sales on another platform. I see this often so I guess there is a reason for this, but how come?
Maybe they're calculating with percentages. If there's 100.000 Windows buyers, you can expect 1000-2000 Linux customers, which would make it worthwhile.
That'd be my idea. It certainly makes more sense than asking people for interest in the Steam discussions.

Quoting: EhvisIIRC, the DLCs are all set at level 30 in normal mode. So that's not really an option either.
They are set to different levels, starting at 15, so it's easy to start a new game, level up on first missions and go to DLC. That's what I did. It would have been strange if they were set to the same level, because a player would start one at its recommended level and finish it as too overlevelled for others.
Ah, then it must be the Headhunters that are 30.
