Third-person shooter with Battle Royale modes 'Crazy Justice' to launch towards the end of this month

The cash and grab things appears to be at least partially true. The 100 player BR mode was never supposed to be in the game. The Fig campaign was about something smaller with a single player campaign. Not a stretch to see that the addition was in response to the Fornite success. I imagine that is probably one of the reasons for the delays. Adding stuff always takes more time than you think.

What are you playing this weekend and what do you think about it?

I'll try to finish the Tiny Tina DLC in Borderlands 2. For as far as it will allow that to be done solo.

I have one good reason why it actually will release in that period. I will be way for all of it! :P

I'll be nice if it works as "hyped". However, I fear that especially the BR mode may have a few problems since I don't think I've ever seen a video that suggests they had a full scale test run.

Valve have revamped the Upcoming Releases section on Steam

It basically got the same layout as the New Releases page. That one wasn't really useful for me as it either showed stuff I already know or stuff I didn't care about. Went straight down to the list. I suspect it'll be the same for this one.

Developers of the RPG 'Edge Of Eternity' are still waiting on Unity before supporting Linux

Quoting: TakI'm skeptical about the accuracy of the developer's post. These have all been working on OpenGL+Linux since their inception, except the one that just doesn't make sense.

  • Sparse textures: Already supported on OpenGL+Linux, and explicitly listed in the Unity doc they linked as being supported on OpenGL

  • Async GPU Readback: Already supported on OpenGL+Linux, covered by automated tests

  • GPU Fence API: Only used on PS4 today, not sure why this would be a blocker for Linux and not other desktop platforms

  • Streaming mipmaps: Already supported on OpenGL+Linux

Also on Vulkan?

Congrats on the 4 year cake by the way! :D

Quoting: LinasI am really tempted to get Deus Ex Human Revolution. But I lived by "no Tux, no bucks" for so long, it would feel unnatural. :S:
That one is old enough to have a boxed PC version. Get that somewhere and at least no bux will go to the Win only publisher.

If you would actually read the linked post, you'd already know what they are waiting for.

If only someone from another company that has experience in 3D graphics with OpenGL/Vulkan, like Feral, would join unity. Someone like that could pick up such a list and push a little. Oh wait ..... :P

The amount of Linux users on Steam has increased when going by daily active users
9 Jul 2018 at 10:13 am UTC

From 225k to 231k is 2.7%. Considering that one of the numbers comes from the Steam surveys, I don't think this is statistically significant (and no, I will not do the math :P ). I still think it is approximately stable over the past two years with maybe a slight growth. That probably means that most Linux users that will accept Steam as a gaming platform are using it now and that current growth is more based on "new" Linux users. This growth is likely much slower than that of the Steam platform itself.
