Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Linux system requirements revealed, Nvidia only for now

Compared to the recommended spec I have a slightly faster CPU, but a little slower GPU. I wonder what will affect the performance more. Regardless, unless there are "reasons", the Feral store can expect a visit this weekend.

Fishing Planet and it's great.
Euro Fishing was also supposed to be released, but that's been delayed for a year now (citing performance problems).

Using Nvidia's NVENC with OBS Studio makes Linux game recording really great

The funny thing is that the bigger streamers are actually turning off GPU encoding because software encoders give better quality. Of course, those streamers can afford multi-cpu Xeon systems to make that happen. So this is a good way to do it until you become a professional streamer. :D

And it makes sense to use an existing release for large scale betatesting.

The major feature of DX12 is also multithreading even though DX11 supports it. Supporting it doesn't mean it is supported well.

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters now has an in-game trailer

Quoting: numasanYou can't really call it an easy or a difficult game - I see it more like a digital bonsai tree that you take care of, and it ends up being this very personal thing.
That's mostly the way I see it played. But there's little challenge to it after you get past the initial stage. By then money is flowing and keeping citizens happy is pretty easy. As long as you follow the demands, there are few consequences to what you do.

Aspyr Media are reminding Linux gamers not to give up hope on Civilization VI
25 Oct 2016 at 9:28 pm UTC

I think Civ5 is graphically actually surprisingly complex. The models look pretty detailed.

Anyway, Aspyr is being a bit weird on this one. The idea that it would be fine on mac, but not clear on whether a "quality port" can be made on Linux is ludicrous. If it can be done on Mac's OpenGL, then it can definitely be done on Linux. If they needed Metal, then Vulkan would most certainly be up to the task. The only thing that could possibly stop it is an economic reason. So personally, I read this as a bit of nonsense to hide the fact that they're simply not as far as they needed to be and delayed work on Linux. Which I get, but it would have been nice if they just said so.
