Quoting: BeamboomWord of advice: Ignore amateur "reviews", read real reviews to make up your mind.I don't find that those "pro" reviews have any more value than the "amateur" ones. You still need to dig trough personal opinions, genre prejudice and other stuff to get some sort of idea of what value you could give it yourself. It takes time.

It's difficult what to make of the reviews. This game has a pretty low rating, but most of the reviews on the front page are positive. Which contrasts quite a lot with "Valley", which has a very high rating but quite a few bad reviews on the front page.
If I single out the bad reviews for Homefront, they seem to have bad AI and repetitive gameplay in common. As well as it not being the best shooter for the money. It'll be interesting to hear opinions on here.

From what I heard about walking and VR, it'll probably be the latter.

I used to play a lot of RTS games. Started with Dune 2, C&C, Red Alert and things like that. But that quickly reduced when uni sucked up time. This series was apparently to late and didn't get much attention. So it completely passed my by.

I don't think the crap part will stop Win10 from growing. It didn't stop Windows as a whole.
A lot of interesting statistics also appear when you start filtering. Linux users appear to run the most powerful hardware on average. Pretty much half of the Mac users run on Intel integrated GPUs. That puts the Mac percentages in perspective and shows why Linux is interesting to Mac porters like Feral and Aspyr.

I tried the demos posted by Tak. Everything appears to work great. I did try to change the renderer using the command line switches, but that didn't appear to work because I couldn't notice any difference.

Apart from the fact that +1's are complete useless (if a dev would listen to the number of +1's, then a port would never come), you can be a bit more verbose. After all, you expert a dev to put effort into making a port, the least you can do is express you interest in a proper sentence.

The most reasonable explanation is probably that they are working on a Vulkan layer, but don't know yet whether it (and the drivers) will be stable enough to use it for this particular release.

Quoting: liamdaweLike I tell people when this comes up, I don't expect Feral to use Vulkan until later next year. If they were using Vulkan, like with Metal it would have already have been announced. That argument works can also be reversed. They didn't deny it, so they are planning a Vulkan release.
