Our latest user survey is done, Steam Controller seems to be the favourite

Aside from not using the whole power of 64-bit system, what's the problem with 32-bit games?

Quoting: GuestEdit: I prefer the automatic survey as it is now. I was getting tired of the monthly manual surveys.
Then there needs to be some safeguards against "zombie" accounts. Or against people not updating their profiles. Like asking every 6 months to resubmit data for survey or it won't be counted. I'm not saying Liam should implement those measures right away, but I feel they would make survey more reliable.

Monthly surveys were tiring for me only because I needed to enter same answers. But having people actually taking time to answer was a good feature.

Will anonymous survey be making a comeback? I'm not even sure if it should since it might be manipulated easier.

Quoting: GuestI really think you should keep doing your normal surveys if you actually care about the results.
It's an interesting argument. I also think it would better if survey was manual like before, but with my previous answers already written-in for the new survey. Wasn't it the whole idea at the beginning?

What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

The Witcher 3 and Legend Of Grimrock 2. Both are also drm-free. Other games like Dragon Age 3 or Final Fantasy XV would be awesome, but they won't be drm-free. Dragon Age 3 have a chance, though.

GOG have something mysterious planned for December 1st

It's surely not gnu/linux related since I don't see any point in hyping this specifically.

Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition removed from stores in favour of the new Anniversary World Tour, no Linux support

Wasn't it like that since last year, when GBX became the sole owner of franchise? Which is probably why World Tour got planned.

Wasteland 3 now on Fig ready to be funded, nearly hit the goal already

Seeing as Kickstarter oversight is pretty much worthless, it doesn't really matter. If you were on board W2 with Kickstarter, then there isn't much difference with Fig in regards to guarantees. Especially if you view it as a pseudo-donation rather than a straight pre-order.

Quoting: lucifertdarkI don't care what anyone, even Valve, says but Steam IS a form of DRM, close your steam account & see how many games you have still in your possession.
I'm not arguing here. Valve's CEG is DRM. But Valve clearly doesn't want to be associated with that acronym.

Quoting: Comandante oardoAccording to some people, Steam is not a DRM and never has been a DRM... Maybe these Devs are among them.
As are Valve. They like to differentiate DRM and Steamworks CEG.

Steam provides convenient patch system. I assume it has something to do with them not wanting to lose man-hours. And GOG sales might be not worth it. It still stinks of course.
