Quoting: Xpander
Quoting: cxphergmailcomWine is bad for gaming on Linux imo.

I'd rather the focus be on imommu with KVM going forward if that's the case. Anything is better than Wine.

Wine is however, good for Office applications and other productivity apps not available on Linux.
and that means you still have to install that garbage OS.

i'd take wine every day over that.

as for No Man's Sky. I't works pretty good indeed under wine:

I'd love to see the Linux official client for it, i quite enjoy the game tbh.
Luckily we will get Planet Nomads soon™
True. For the record, i don't use wine or iommu (my ivy bridge dosen't support vt-d). I just don't support Windows only games. So wine is kinda useless to me in that regard.

I still get the black screen on launch issue but now it allows me to alt tab in and out and it works.

Previously I had to use a button to bind shortcut to desktop in GNOME and fullscreen it again after that. Alt tab didn't work.

SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell, the heavy metal first-person platformer is now officially out

Quoting: poke86Maybe it's fixed in the full game, but the Steam demo doesn't seem to handle multiple screens properly. It doesn't always start on the same screen, the cursor is captive even in windowed mode and the game does funny things when you try to alt+tab.
I use the Super+D combination bound in the keyboard hotkeys section to minimize to desktop (i also have a button for it via a .desktop file and wmctrl on my dash). The keyboard combination takes it properly out of fullscreen.

Alt+tab dosen't seem to work well though so you can try my method.

Anyone has screen tearing on NVIDIA drivers? There isn't a vsync option it seems.
