Valve announce Dota 2 - 7.00, a massive update that changes everything
12 Dec 2016 at 7:36 pm UTC

DOTA 2's one of those games I've always wanted to like, but had a hard time getting into. Maybe this update will be the perfect opportunity for me to give it another chance.

What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Everything I could think of was brought up by others:
Oblivion
GTA V (or anything from Rockstar. *cough* Max Payne 3)
WoW
Doom (Anything from Bethesda really)

Also forgot Diablo III...or anything from Blizzard. Gotta start somewhere.

Black Mesa, the fan-made remake of Half-Life is rather unstable on Linux right now

Quoting: robvvHave completed it on my OpenSUSE system, however I did have a repeated crash very early on in the game. Managed to spam-save my way through it!
Ended up having to do the same thing in the Test Chamber on my Antergos desktop. Other than that - and a weird texture in the elevator - the game has been running very well for me.
Can't say the same for my laptop - System76 Gazelle - since the game can't even launch there for some reason. Also Antergos.

Liamdawe, I finished Oxenfree a couple months back. It's a fantastic game. It's similar to Stranger Things, if you've watched that at all.

Killing Floor 2 release date announced, Linux version to be post-launch

I was hoping to play this during Early Access. But it's nice to know they haven't forgotten about us. I really enjoyed the first one. It's one of the first games I played on Linux.

Quoting: johndoe86xIt may be wishful thinking, but I'm hoping it has something to do with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Maybe - hopefully - they can port Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I've been wanting to play that one for a while.

I bought the game the second I read the headline. I'm about 80 minutes in, and I'm loving it!

Quoting: Shadowsedge117I learned my lesson about pre-ordering the hard way with Batman: Arkham Knight. Now I just wait until the game officially comes out. I won't believe SF V will come to Linux until I see the little logo in the Steam store...or if I read about the release here first :D.
You realise that game port was officially cancelled right?
Oh I do. But when they first announced pre-orders, they also announced they were releasing it on Linux. So I pre-ordered it, thinking I could take their word for it. Lesson learned in hard mode.

Nice to know they are working on bringing this to our system. It also seems like they have some good porters working on it. If the reviews turn out to be good, I'm gonna have to give this one a try.
