Quoting: Alm888Steam and GOG are encouraging this type of behaviour. Even Valve itself did this with HTC Vive!

I've yet to see a single developer who got punished for release-day cancelling.

At this stage the "No Tux == No Bucks" and "Never Pre-Order" rules are obligatory.
What about kickstarter?
Kickstarter is NOT a pre-order! it's crowd sourced investment/venture capital - and sometime your investment returns no yield. Basically do not spend money on a kickstarter unless you accept that they may be lost with no reward to you.

Please make sure to test with streaming from Linux to a Steam Link/Steam Controller - it's so frustrating to real "full controller support" only to find that that excludes the steam branded one. I'd offer to help test that but I'll be swamped for the next few weeks so I'd not get much testing done.

Seems suspiciously cheap, but then that is properly the american price - by the time it hits EU it will most likely double in price due to the "accounting says you can afford it" tax

DwarfCorp, an open source & procedurally generated real-time strategy game is now in Early Access

Not really what I expected when I read "strategy game" to be honest, I mean where is the strategy in the video? looks like teraria / minecraft but with a group and I wound't really label either of those as strategy games

Outlast Deluxe Edition is currently free on the Humble Store

There is also a fairly huge discount on "we are the dwarves" there - almost enough for me to overcome the barrier of 'you need to create an account'.. almost but in the end my laziness prevailed.

Honestly it's 2017 what website that wants to make money do no have an option to buy with out creating an account - or at the very least an option to sing in with facebook/twitter/google/steam :|

In Danish and German at least :)
In German it's Vogel. I'm pretty sure this is a Danish game, at least Scandinavian. Or they just borrowed the name ;-)
You are of course correct about the German spelling, not sure what happened in my brain there

Quoting: Geppeto35Could be nice for our young children as well (always looking for games that open mind and matches children sensibilities)?
Children, especially in conjunction with the word young, are supposed not to stick to TV and gaming. Take them outside and play and explore the world with them then just going for the comfortable way to make them being silenced because they're occupied by gaming.
God you sound like my mother as of 20 years ago "go outside and kick a ball like a healthy kids, or you with get square eyes"

Such an medieval attitude, not every one dreams of becoming a athlete -and that's ok -kids drawn to books or computer games are no worse of for being allowed to spend some of their time with such activists
