Out of the Park Baseball 17 Released

An update on this game. I did buy it on sale, and promptly discovered that it wouldn't run. The culprit is Ubuntu 16.04's fault as well as the (silent?) devs'. I am able to run it an a 14.04 VM, but

I shouldn't have to do that.

I started a trouble ticket about three weeks ago, and have heard nothing at all. Another Steam user reported that he couldn't get it to run under Fedora or Arch or Ubuntu 16.04.

This from a company which has supported Linux for quite some time. :><:

Overlord for Linux release date announced, arriving tomorrow the 21st of July

Five years ago, back in my dual-boot days, I bought it, (still in my Steam library) and expect to see it appear in my Linux library Real Soon Now. Having played it, it's not really my cuppa, but I should give it another try, I suppose. Hardly a AAA game, it's still pretty unlike most everything I can think of. BBB, maybe?

In my message, I asked about the drivers ;) and mentioned that I'd love to see AMD-ATI be more competitive in the Linux world. (a tiny fib, I suppose)

The game I'm most excited about is Out Of The Park 17, which is half price at $19.95; waiting until I get my pay on the 3rd, just in time. A majority of games on sale, of course, I already have...

I'd love to see TQ ported; I had a lot of fun with it about 10 years ago...

What are you playing this weekend?

STILL playing Torchlight II:whistle: and, of course, Dominions 4:wub: and trying to last in Don't Starve :><: . Also, baby steps in Stellaris :dizzy: .

Arch is indeed a great distro, but I'm a Ubuntu MATE loyalist (I contribute to its development) and I have found (using Manjaro) that a few games don't run under the Arch architecture, so it's Ubuntu MATE for me.

Thanks for the update screen!

SO many games in my Steam library, and I still look for more  ...

As a backer, I'm disappointed :><: . If anything was going to tear me away from Pillars of Eternity and Wasteland 2  , it was this. I do remember that Obsidian supplied the original and more to backers prior to release :woot: . Of course, Obsidian used Unity...
