Both games also available DRM-free at Arcen Games' website [External Link].
PS: Unfortunately they seem to have forgotten about Desura as they haven't uploaded any Linux build of their games there. :(

About Fritz, it seems the Big Final Push was only due to an error on a backer's part, so the creators decided to cancel the campaign at the last minute: :(

Quoting: scainePrison Break is what convinced me of this approach. I bought into the hype train, stuck down my £18 and was completely disappointed. I think it was around Alpha13 and while it's up to something like 18 or 19 now, that experience was so devoid of fun that I haven't played it since!Surely you mean Prison Architect, don't you? :P

Quoting: fleskI just backed Major Drips but I'm now starting to wonder how legit it really is. The campaign has only 29 backers but has still reached $6K of its $20K funding goal, largely because it has both a $1000 and a $3500 backer. Add that to the fact that it's participating in OUYA's #FreeTheGames fund and it looks a bit sketchy to me.Uh-oh, I'm afraid you may be right... The vast majority of those 29 backers [External Link] are first-time pledgers and newly registered to Kickstarter.

On another note, it looks like the Kaiser's troops might succeed with their Final Push after all: Fritz has received a surge of pledges since I revised the article a mere few hours ago and victory is now at hand! :)

Quoting: adolsonJotun passed the Linux stretch goal and (on Reddit) we were promised to get the Linux release on day one. It passed Greenlight already, too. That's really good news! We didn't include Jotun in our previous article (since at that time it didn't seem that clear to reach the stretch goal) and thus we haven't talked about it now.

Great game and no less great review. I totally agree about the frustration it can induce though: I got stuck in (and subsequently bored of) the Pope's boss battle from the first screenshot and I haven't tried it again since. :|

GOL World Tour: Gaming From Argentina

Among those that love Tux we can find Behold Studios [External Link] (Knights of Pen & Paper and the still unreleased Chroma Squad) or Pigasus Games (Adventurezator). There's also the London-settled but Brazilian-born Guilherme S. Töws (Eversion).

Quoting: Segata SanshiroI think I will have to find some more countries to put between the Scandinavian ones though, or it will look like a Viking invasion at GOL.Between two Scandinavian countries you could maybe go back to South America to take a look at one of Argentina's neighbours: Brazil. As it seems, there is quite a thriving PC gaming production there, albeit many studios choose to ignore Linux as a release platform. :(

Great article and an excellent idea for a series, Segata!

GOG Has More Linux Games Added To Their Collection

Back on-topic, both Blocks That Matter and Tetrabot & Co. have always worked like a charm for me (although admittedly it's been a while since I fired up any of them). The latter however I couldn't ever get it to work on Desura (the MCF seems to be broken, but the Swing Swing Submarine guys didn't seem to care even though I warned them about it :S: )

Quoting: fleskThat last one is a big problem in my opinion because several indie developers push out their games for Windows (and maybe Mac) first and then a Linux a few weeks or months later. But by that time it might be a little too late because it's going to be that much harder to find it. There really isn't a good way at the moment to find these games unless they're high profile game. That's quite true, but I sincerely think it's the developers' job to promote their games and that they cannot (and shouldn't) delegate this crucial task to Valve.
