Hi Robert! Don't worry, I reckon you haven't blown anything away with your intervention. I think it's always good to hear the creator's motivation for a game. ;)
I actually began to suspect the true motive of the game after reading Speedster's comment regarding this issue and relating it with your pitch video, and now it all makes perfect sense to me. But I still believe many other people can jump to the same conclusion as I did, so you may definitely want to work on it to make it come across unambiguously.
By the way, thanks for the Linux demos [External Link]! :)

For what it's worth, yesterday night I was asked to answer the survey. Me, that I don't add up to more than an hour of playing time since last november... Anyway, you must count me under the 'Other' category as I run Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit, so there's definitely Linux users there.
PS: I don't know whether my data counted towards the July report or next month...

Quoting: s_dSpeaking of luck... I hope I'm lucky enough for the next mystery IGS game to support Linux! The odds are certainly on your side: 11 out of the last 12 deals have been games already available for Linux, coming soon to our OS (Constanc C, Vox) or natively playable using AGS (The Cat Lady). :)

I must say at first I found it strange too, but as I've very little game engine savvy and I remembered someone mentioning Unreal having supported Linux in the past, I let it be.
