What will the state of updates, DLC, and crossplay be? We will probably be behind windows any time Firaxis puts out new content, but will we be linked to the same version schedule as the Mac version? It would be cool to always be able to play with them.
Also, ask about what it was that held up the port. I'd be interested to know. I'm hoping they always wanted to do the Linux version but just didn't have the engineering resources they wanted, so they put most of their engineers on the Mac version (to try to a simultaneous mac/windows release) and always were planning to do the linux version later.

Looks interesting. How closely in terms of gameplay does this compare to hitman?

I wouldn't be surprised if a native port of the game showed up soon. It's an indie studio who's already published for Linux before, the game already uses OpenGL, and porter Ethan Lee is already examining the game as we speak.
I'd wait to buy until it releases for Linux.

The port is being done by codeweavers.

This isn't a turnoff for me though. From all accounts I've heard, the game plays very well in wine. Also, if the linux ports in general have strong sales, more developers will plan for linux from the beginning. This is one more game on which we can make the linux community heard.

I'm looking forward to it. I also can't wait to see how it measures up to Skullgirls, especially with them both being 2D team based fighters centered around a female cast.
It would be great to have more good fighters natively on Linux. I usually resort to playing fighters via ps2 emulators.
