I remember purchasing a Voodoo 5 (not sure which model it was. AGP, 64mb and 2 GPUs on the card) back around the 2000s time period. I never got it working properly for gaming on Linux so I sold it to a Windows running friend for his dual CPU Celeron system. I ended up buying a Geforce 2 GTS and holy crap it was awesome. The Electronics Boutique I worked at carried LOKI Linux ports so I had quite a collection of retail Linux games. Anyway, KINGPIN wasn't one of them but I was able to use my roommates Windows CD version and the downloadable LOKI installer to install. I also remember it came with a small command line utility to rename all the game files to lowercase. I actually kept that little program around for several years to rename large directories of files.

This game looks right up my alley. I can't wait for more information on it.

Chiaki, the open source and cross-platform PS4 Remote Play client now supports the PS4 7.0 update

I updated chiaki this morning and so far it's smooth for me. But under macOS Catalina I get controller input lag with both dualshock 4 and xbox one controllers. I do not get any such lag with the Linux appimage. I used the perl script and followed the directions to get my new fangled 7.0 user id. All's good and smooth playing so far on Fedora 31. I'd love to have a Chromebook build so I can sit in bed and play.

Quoting: wleoncioIf I have a beefy setup, should I bother with GameMode? It helped heaps with my low-tier setup, but I don't know if I'd be introducing unnecessary tear to my new parts.
I have a fairly beefy system and Gamemode is almost necessary for WINE/Proton gaming. Pure native games are ok, but since I figured out Gamemode I've been pretty much using it on all games.

just me findings. give it a try and see if it's worth it.

Gamemode has had a great impact on playing World of Warcraft under wine. My system had been running wow fine but about a week ago the performance got chunky as heck with monster FPS dips. It was pretty much unplayable on any settings mode from 1-10 on the graphics options. I saw gamemode released the new version and decided to try it for the first time. I was pretty impressed with how wow was now performing. Before, when it was working properly, I played on graphics option 7 with minimal FPS dips and a steady 99 maxed FPS. In the major cities with high population I got between 50-60 FPS. Now I play on graphics option 10 with the same performance as I originally had.

I must have had my system all misconfigured because comparatively it was running pretty poorly for gaming. I haven't tested anything else yet as I only installed gamemode on saturday morning. Fixing wow was my big win for gamemode so I'm happy. I'll check out some of my native games in a bit and report back.

Oh man. I want this so bad. It looks like a crazy fun Fallout Shelter with stuff to do. Once the lack of funds ends I'm on it.

Close-combat FPS 'Return to Planet X' is now on Linux, it's actually not bad at all

The baddies remind me of the giant crickets in my basement. Otherwise this looks really fun. I can't wait to see it evolve further.

Stone Story looks like a very clever ASCII-styled RPG that will have Linux support

oh lordy lordy! I used to throw down to ascii games on my commodore64. This is right up my alley and when it makes it to Linux I'm on board.
