I'll be supporting Ryan on Patreon. I see that his monthly support has already gone up from ~$750 to $950 and rising!

I would like to see "Banished" (Shining Rock Software) finished for Linux. When I'm not totally wrong it's the work from a single developer, who never did a OpenGL port before. He could need some help from Icculus for sure. This is exactly what what he/we should be looking out for! Folks who are requesting ports of modern AAA games apparently don't understand the amount of coding effort *and* QA *and* ongoing support required to do this. Some games maybe slightly easier (for example, if they use Unreal 4) but there's also numerous middleware and so on to deal with. Even worse for older AAA games that pretty much everyone has already played under Windows or Wine so not many people would buy if they were ported to Linux. Porting recent and popular smaller or indie titles are the ideal vehicle for increasing the Linux game count with "worthy" (or at least popular) games. It's much better to end up with four smaller ports in a year than one big one - more bang for the buck!
Especially small teams which don't have the manpower/resources to make a linux port come to my mind. Maybe Liam could help here out with a kind of list. He contacted so much developers to ask for a port but they sometimes refused because of the lack of manpower or OpenGL knowledge.
Legends of Grimrock 2 for example is one of that.

Sorry for the late test report:
- The Impossiball beta downloaded and installed fine on my Debian 8.5 stable (jessie) machine with an Intel i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz, 16GB RAM, and an Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 with 2GB VRAM.
- Game started fine and I was able to navigate menus and change settings with no problems.
- Music & sound effects both work fine and I could turn them on & off (good soundtrack).
- Tried both keyboard & mouse, as well as a controller (Logitech F510) with no real problems. I wish the B button would take you back in the menus/options. I didn't see the Y button to change views mentioned in the menus. The bumper/trigger buttons did not rotate the bat (the right stick did).
- Game runs smoothly with no performance problems in any mode. Even the "3D" views ran anywhere from 100 to 200 FPS according to the Steam FPS counter. Game works with the Steam overlay and I was able to alt-tab in & out of the game without problems.
- Fullscreen on my 1920x1080 monitor was great. Windowed mode worked fine for some resolutions but changing the resolution to some modes made the window go totally blue and the mouse cursor to jump all over. I think these were modes were the window height was greater than 1080 and it's most likely a Unity issue so I don't think it's anything to worry about.
Overall the game works great on Linux (though I seem to suck at it...)
Thanks for letting us test and best of luck with your game on Steam!

Deep Silver & Techland are not supporting Dead Island Definitive Edition on Linux, at all

I hope this is just a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, otherwise it's pretty shady to officially release the game on Steam for Linux and then two weeks later saying it's not supported. I waited until I saw the SteamOS icon on Steam before purchasing both Dead Island & Riptide Definitive Editions so I expect them to work properly and any problems to be fixed.

I've bought every Humble Indie Bundle since the first one, and I don't think I've played more than 20% of the games, but I always buy each HIB at least once (usually twice and once three times!) to simply support HB and the devs for their Linux porting efforts.

Finally put away Borderlands 2 after playing it for months on end and finishing the main game, starting it again in TVHM and playing through about half of it and finishing all of the story DLC (except for a few repetitive and arena DLC sidequests) until I decided that enough is enough.
Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum (under Wine, obviously) which is a very good game but not as great as most people make it out to be. Good looking game, nice combat, and good story, especially if you're a fan of the comics (the voice acting was *really* good for a video game).
Started The Talos Principle which is great so far, though a bit easy (not going for any stars right now) but I'm sure will get much harder soon. Also just started Apotheon which is good but I think I'll need to get used to its combat. I'm also slooowly going through a smattering of other long-running puzzle games (The Bridge, Munin, etc.) Looking into Grim Fandango and Spellunky and occasionally playing BlazeRush and LEGO Hobbit with my kids.
I need to start some long-lasting tough RPG like Wasteland 2 which I kickstarted but never touched. Is the Director's Cut pretty stable and fully patched at this point?

Started playing Outland a couple of days ago and can't put it down. Very good platforming, decent combat, looks pretty, good difficulty balance, tight controls, works great on Linux.
Playing LEGO Hobbit (under Wine) co-op with my 11-year old daughter. We finished Lego Harry Potter a few weeks back and plan to go through all the LEGO games together (which is good since I really doubt I'd play them solo).
Playing some "casual" adventures (mostly Artifex Mundi), mostly when I'm tired, but at least in expert mode for a decent challenge.
Finally, looking for a decent RPG to get into. I'm almost half-way through Torchlight II and getting bored with it - I know it's an ARPG but it just feels like an expanded version of the original, which was nice enough but nothing special for me.

More seriously, I hope they still have the discount when it's released on August 10th so that it is counted as one more Linux purchase (I won't be able to play it until the 18th so I won't pre-order...)

I managed to get an early look at what will be one of Linux's only semi-realistic racersSo which is it? The only one, or one of them?

Great little puzzle game! I finished it under Wine though it was a bit of a pain to get it to run (I actually created an appdb entry for it). Looks pretty, nice audio, challenging but not too hard and not long. Definitely recommend it.
