One of Valve's choices of games to highlight for Steam Machines is more than a little silly

I dont currently own ARK but will consider it if/once the game is fixed as it does look like an interesting game.

As for Steam Machines,

I think its good that Valve are not currently pushing steam machines for one simple reason.

Its NOT ready for prime time yet.

Once GPU drivers and Steam OS are to a good enough standard and there is a sufficient library of AAA games available then Valve can give steam machines another push. I think another year of work should do the trick.

If valve fail for a 2nd time then its game over as Microsoft are effectively trying to turn Xbox and Windows 10 desktops into steam machines.

I would rather see Valve take their time with this one and get it right than fail again.

Nice to see Linux continuing to pick up more users. I did make a prediction that Linux would reach 5% by the end of this year. Hopefully.

I have Just got a steam survey in wine GRRR so I logged out without accepting and loaded native steam and got no survey. I then logged back into wine steam to play a windows game and the survey popped up again.

I believe I triggered a survey as I have just received my roccat sova today.

I will likely pickup T6 as I own the previous iterations however I am getting a little bored with the lack of innovation so I am hoping this game will offer something new to spice it up a bit.

Cannot wait to try this out as I am a huge fan when it comes to city builders and this one also reminds me of planetbase which is all good.

I am not a fan of the art style though as it looks too cartoony and the colours look horrible so hopefully this will be improved come release.

I have added this one to the wish list.

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

When GOG fist started out I became a frequent user but as time passed I stopped.

As a windows user at the time, they simply did not offer most games I wanted so I stuck with Steam, Origin and Uplay. As I am now a Linux user they offer nothing of interest to me so I no longer use GOG and this announcement just further strengthens that position.

When Steam announced Linux support it brought linux to my attention. I had never used it before and the final push happened when the "get win 10" nagware got to much. If not for Valve I would not be a linux user or even a PC gamer today as steam effectively saved PC gaming.

If and When GOG change their attitude I will happily consider their store again but remember this, Steam has done a lot for us pc gamers and that is why so many are loyal to steam, myself included.
