Rocket League to get a tournament mode with a beta next month and more

EDIT: Since you talked about lowspec disadvantages too, I could mention that with a bit of tweaking of the ini file, turning down settings and such, you can get a pretty good framerate even on lowspec hardware, and it doesn't sacrifice much in terms of visuals either, if you're interested I can send you my ini file and you can test it / compare it.

Quoting: Guestthe forever lack of controller rumble and the freeze-frame on the demolition really kill the experience.Welp I can't help with the lack of rumble, but I fixed the demo freeze by changing my cpu governor from ondemand to performance while I play, I get zero freeze on demos with that setting.

And we definitely need more RL events/tourneys =)

Quoting: 0aTTPS4 too?Nobody knows yet, but sony has historically been very against any co-mingling; As it stands currently, if you're on steam and you see a PSYNET player, that player could either be a [ nintendo switch | xbox ] OR ps. As a ps user you can only match up against other ps, and steam users. So with that in mind, I'd say chances are high that sony won't opt in, but xbox and switch users will most likely be in on it. It's all speculation of course.

I had hoped Epic would have ported Fortnite to Linux by now, I'd rather have Fortnite than pubg. But Epic seems completely and utterly against this =(

Quoting: EikeYes you click reveal key, then copy the text, then you go to your steam client and click "activate product on steam" and put in the key, that's what I did anyway.Quoting: scratchiHow do I get the key WITHOUT linking my steam account to Humble Bundle. I never claim their free giveaways because of this, I don't want my steam account linked to IGN properties. please help :)Aren't they displaying the key anymore, to redeem manually?

Quoting: pbYeah, well... the game crashes dead on viewing contents of the holiday crate...The problem is the goal explosion in the santa crate, but there's a workaround until psyonix fixes it, you can read more here:

S2 has still been one of the best champions for Linux games, always releasing for Linux, always patching same day for all, very few other companies have given us as much as they have.

Quoting: predator8bitThey ditched all of their previous games, not just two, first Savage and Savage 2 for Heroes of Newerth then HoN for Strife and then Strife for Savage Resurrection and then SR for this 'new game' which is basically a copy of some other game with assets from one of their previous games. I don't see this one playing out any different either, especially since this has the least effort put into it from all of their titles.Dude, that's stupid, savage came out in 2003 and it even kept going for a long time after savage 2 came out. Infact with Savage XR it might still be going (don't know, haven't looked in forever). Savage 2 kept going for a long time after it came out as well. You're pissy because you expect a game company to not depart from their previous after a decade, decade and a half? That is stupid. Just play the games and enjoy them, in particular Strife, instead of bitching about how dead it is, go and play it! While it is less populated it's far from dead, I still get a match after just a minute of queueing, in my opinion Strife is still the best moba.

EDIT: the slowdowns seem to be because of i/o, all of a sudden RL is more swap-happy, even just closing RL down it starts swapping like mad, taking something like 10-20 seconds after you've hit the quit button.

Quoting: tuubiand so far it seemed to at least perform better than beforeI seem to have gotten a bit of a slowdown instead, there are moments of occasional jerkiness (framerate drop), though it *seems* like it's due to cpu, like something more cpu-intensive was introduced maybe? I dunno. In Core 707 (the dropshot map) it's especially noticeable with a significant frame drop down to like 44 fps in certain parts when you go up on the walls and see more of the outside. Never had these slowdowns before :(

Quoting: DaiKaiser93I try to install it with "sudo apt-get install qt5-default" but I get this:In Debian those errors are usually thrown out when you are trying to mix and match different dists (i.e. stable with testing or sid), if you've changed your sources doublecheck to make sure they're set back.
