Get a look inside the Steam Deck in Valve's latest video

Mad props to Valve for creating a video that's basically "Please don't open the Steam Deck, but here's how you do it"
I've built computers for damn near 30 years. I build and maintain servers for a living. I deal with sensitive electronic equipment on a daily basis.
Once I get my hands on a Steam Deck, you better believe that thing is getting a bigger SSD...

Personally, it's been Valheim for the most part lately, sprinkled with a bit of Factorio, and some Minecraft with my kids.
Chris Sawyer's Locomotion improves further in the open source re-implementation OpenLoco

Locomotion broke two of my mice (specifically the left key sensor wore out on two separate Creative Fatal1ty 1010) due to having to click for every single tile you wanted to build on.
I'll have to check out OpenLoco and see if there are enough improvements to warrant a proper replay.

Elementary 6 will go on my laptop once it's released! It's the best looking OS out there by a long shot, and it'll be interesting to see how it has progressed since I tried it last, back in early '19.

Quoting: denyasisProbably one of my favorite games. I'll have to pick up the expansion sometime soon too! It's well worth the money, if for nothing else than to give the developer more money for such an awesome game. The royalty stuff adds an extra (optional) layer of complexity, and a plethora of new objects, quests, and storylines.

Oh well... Not really a loss for me personally, as I tend to not like PvP games

Quoting: scaineYou were absolutely correct.Quoting: StenPettJust tested this, and ran Subnautica flawlessly on Manjaro. Downloading a few other games as I type this, including that thing that's all the rage, despite me not really liking the whole "Battle Royale" genre...Sadly, EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) will scupper you there, I think. Apparently Epic (who own EAC) are working with Valve's DXVK developer to see if there's a solution.
The other big anti-cheat, Battle-Eye, have already said "it can't be done", which rules out any hope for Arma 3, now that Virtual Programming have been dropped as their experimental Linux porting house.
[edit: I wrote "haven't already said", instead of "have already said"... eejit]

It's good to see that they are still committed to developing the game further. Me and my brother usually play this for a few hours whenever we can, and it's great fun!
As for the people who groan about slow development; try developing a game yourself, and see how long it'll take you. I really respect a developer that says it'll be released when it's done, and not set some unrealistic release date that'll be long gone before the actual release...

Nice! I'll have to check if they've fixed the issue on OpenSUSE where Steam would instantly crash if I launch a non-native game, complaining about missing PulseAudio. (Yes, it's reported in Github).
