West Norwood is a part of London, but apart from that, I have no clue.

IO Interactive retains the rights to HITMAN and becomes fully independent

Quoting: ShmerlI'm interested in whether they'll start releasing their games DRM-free.
That's very unlikely, though I could see them releasing the older 90's Hitman games DRM-Free on GOG or something.

Quoting: Mountain ManAh, so that's why they gave it away for free. They're hoping folks will spend the money to upgrade to the ultimate edition since "Gee, I already own the game, so..."

Clever marketing ploy.

Meanwhile, I'm saying, "Thanks for the free game!"
You still get access to the new stuff they release (which is free from now on), and Overkill has stated that they want to create free variations of the most popular DLC weapons, like a grenade launcher or the crossbow.

Quoting: EhvisThe sneaky thing is that this release is tagged with Linux support, but a lot of the DLC (including most heists) are still not available for Linux.

I have the base game (since before it was free), but never played much. I'd be interested in joining a noob (friendly) squad to check it out.
Firstly, yeah the DLC's list is tagged erroneously. I apparently only own the Official Soundtrack, the John Wick Weapons Pack and the Sydney Character Pack despite the fact I own more than that. 3/18 ain't bad....

Secondly, I'm here all week.

Quoting: scaineIf they've fixed in-game voice chat, I might actually buy this.
They haven't and likely won't. Annoying as that may be, I legitimately never knew anyone who even used it.

Quoting: fcastilloI just got this game a couple of months ago but never played it because I couldn't change the monitor where it opened. It was annoying and ultimately unplayable. Hopefully this new edition will fix any remaining issues on linux.
What I usually do (using KDE) is to open the Steam overlay and alt-drag the game on the right screen. I posted it on the steam forums :)

Quoting: DissCentThe last time I played this game I wasn't able to play with my friends because the Linux version was behind the Windows version. I don't think they care too much about us.
I'm playing with my Windows friends since January or so and it has been working like a charm. More than a 100 hours on record and really enjoying this game, it enabled me to stop booting into W7 to play Battlefield 4 with them ^^
There are however a few issues with updates: during the last game event, they did not update the version string of the Linux client, which meant no crossplay, even though the rest of the update was there... Someone wrote a mod to fix this, but I didn't bother.
The port isn't a priority for them, but it doesn't run bad otherwise :)
Hello! I'm the person who fixed the crossplay "bug" with a mod for Linux. Oh boy did Overkill screw up...

Quoting: GuppyBeen meaning to pick this up for some time but people generally warn against it because the community is generally not tolerant of new players.
Well, now that more people will have it, we could arrange some games of it ;)

That might've been during either the Hoxtons Housewarming Party or the Search for Kento events as Matchmaking broke, and I was the guy who had to fix it. The Linux Port has DLC and near-feature parity with the Windows version.

Quoting: thelimeydragonDid they -ever- fix the mic issue. Never really played it as I couldn't talk to anyone with a mic or hear anyone with a mic.
Not as far as I'm aware. But then again, Discord exists so....
